The Michelin CrossClimate 2 SUV is available in 43 sizes and being promoted as “The Master of All-Season Tyres”. Michelin is making some strong claims about this tyre, claiming it is the leader in wet and snow conditions. Can you tell me what the difference from crossclimate 2 and crossclimate 2 SUV?

Dear Tyre Seeker, I enjoy all your reviews and wish I had found your channel earlier. Considering how gasoline prices keep rising, would you pls see if you could find the ultimate lowest rolling resistance tire for those who wish to focus more on fuel efficiency than sport performance of a tire? Finding such ultimate low resistance tire would certainly help many of us who have to drive on a long commute trips on a daily basis. Cheers and keep up with awesome video content. Thanks so much for your comment :) That review is coming in the new year - low rolling road resistance is super important these days for electric cars, so is getting a lot of focus from manufacturers... The worrying part of that is low rolling road resistance often means low braking performance and low 'get out of trouble elk test style' ability... e plan to test that theory :) Watch this space! When mounting the tire, which way does the tread hit the road. The small center that moves water/mud/snow outward, or the other way ?

I have those. The thread on the ground creates an arrow opposite to direction, you're going. So the mud will be grabbed and thrown away, when the car is stuck. Opposite situation would be very stupid of Micheline to do.

First gen ones have been brilliant. Real confidence in snowy conditions. Lost a few MPG over the summer tyres though otherwise would have kept them on throughout the year to see what they were like then.

I'd be interested to know the difference between the CC2 and the CC2 SUV tyres, if any. I can't find any comparisons in specs and test results.

I think SUV version adjusted for the heavy SUVs like 2500kg or so. Because the regular sedan is like 1200-2000kgs, and minivans has the same weight overall. Real SUVs has different range. Something like 1800-3000. But they don't state it. Assholes, right?

Me too, I landed here looking for some additional info. Its interesting, because I had the first cross climate on the suv and changed to these, and they look almost identical. The snow performance of the first was very poor.

Everyone who owns them says they're fantastic. The version they ship to the US seems to cost some MPG though.

After changing the CrossClimate + suv, for the goodyear vector 4seasons gen-3 i could not be happier.... On my bmw x1 the difference is huge.... So not everyone is happy with the CrossClimate.... Disappointing performance on snow... Akward "gap" feeling as you turn even on dry road. Very strange that the reviewers dont mention that....

This sounds like a bad experience - no t typical in our experience, but it can happen - some tyres are not suited to specific cars, and drivers often find they gel better with one than another... Good that you have found ones that work for you with the GYs though :)

@@tyreseeker What is the difference of SUV version to the regular CrossClimate2? They just can handle 2700kg of weight better and that is it? What is the weight of car the regular CC2 is for?

@Ευάγγελος Διαμαντόπουλος i was very disappointed with snow performance too. The only reason I got the new second gen was the reviews saying it is greatly improved. No snow still around here, so I'm waiting to be able to test.
