This is my favourite song as I feel it relates to me at 82 years old except my eyes are a faded green but also going back to the lonely home ,but still happy to be alive xx

Don't know why but your comment brought tears to my eyes. I am not 82 but 66, so years to go I hope. Somehow the lyrics speak to me too. Lost my husband last year after 43 great years, children living at the other side of the country (The Netherlands), but they phone and visit as much as they can, have friends and people surrounding me, but as you said, always going home alone, always coming to an empty house. Sometimes feeling lost and lonely, but also glad to be alive, for life can still be beautiful. Only a song like this makes you feel a little melancholic. Greetz from a Dutch lady Mrs Ayton.

It's been 4 yrs now since I heard this song for the first time. My English is not abundant to subcribe how I feel whenever I play this song. I always try to imagine an old girl followed by this song, especially "no one pays attention to the old" i feel so sorry for her and see how bitter of time flow, she's now old and seems to be lonely, she would have had kids or sthing but this song make her so sorrow idk. I really enjoy this song.
