I was there! I was manning the phones back stage for Production ! The set Paula us complaining about was painted backstage by Ashton School Art College students! I went and toured Spain with the money I earned!! Awesome part of my life!

Wonderful to hear that Sharon! I saw them on the same tour in London. It all started when my friend Damian ( who I'm still in contact with) told me " I've got something for us" and produced two tickets. On the day, Damian took a part of Binoculars with him as we thought we'd be right at the back for some reason. Stood outside Wembley for ages, then they opened the doors and that's when we realised that there was nothing between us and the stage except for a empty pitch!! We sprinted down to the front together with loads of other people and got to within 5/6 rows from the front. I was on my feet for 13 hours that day and was exhausted by the end but worth every second.

Jagger and the Stones are and will going to be, always, THE REAL rock & roll type of band, like forever. Why? You see it on this small interview. You can feel it. They never tried to be wild, messy, sexual, heavy, druggy, rebel, noisy, etc. etc.THEY WERE all those thing without any request from nobody. They impersonated what they needed to make music, albums and gigs. That's all. They MADE A LIVING FROM IT. A career. And they, certainly, had a lot of fun. Not the bullshit seeking fame, money and pussy. Those things came on the road, but they always struggled hard to stay focus on the "rock band career" (to put it in some way) and succeeded to this days.

It’s a shame the people today don’t realise that he was the most controversial rockstar of all time at some points in his career and looked upon as much bigger then Bowie and Fweddie Mercury. He and stones have probably influenced more bands then anyone else including the Beatles.

Cool Laura! I saw the same tour later on in London 1990 - it was named The Urban Jungle over here. In fact we saw them the night of Englands football game versus Germany in the world cup- many many people were focused on the score!!! When England equalised, the crowd went nuts and Mick ( who was singing Ruby Tuesday) thought they were yelling for him...and his face was a picture when he realised what was going on!

A common mistake made by depressed people is to assume that anyone who is creative , charming , confident and eccentric is " Off their face " Just look at the miserable , pinched little faces of today's youth as they skulk around in their grey and black hoodies while being consumed by inhibition and paranoia . yet he was and still is the tallest on the band. He's taller than Richards and Watts, not to mention others who were really short (Bill and Brian). And nope, Jagger never wore heels on stage (well maybe for a very short period of time in early 60s when they all did) but Keith did.

I love Paula Yates man seems a real cool chick, shame that cat hooked her in to his seedy cliche ‘rock star’ world that he probably thought the Stones lived 😂. Which the stones did but they didn’t do it to appear cool it’s just the life they had and they were the first. But that Australian guy was silly and actually thought he was Jagger and Morrison 😂. She bought into it coz she liked his willy and got addicted to heroin which is so so easy to get addicted to as you feel like it ain’t even doing much and your functioning better then ever but BOOM you can’t think of anything else. Poor Paula . Good interview. Mick cool cat as usual not taking it all seriously.
