Yes, we need Mick as our PM, Tories have been a corrupt embarrassment for the UK seen around the world and what's really sad is, they don't care, its blatantly being exposed and they simply don't care. Their argument is " there's no money, where do you think the money is coming from? If we raise wages inflation goes up". We have to listen to the lies as nurses and doctors have to pay to park at the hospitals they work in and their lunches (they rarely get) and we pay for the Tories expensive lunches as they hide their money in off shore accounts and avoid paying taxes. Our schools are a disaster with no teachers, no continuity, and endless supply teachers. Destroyed the Royal Mail as they now don't pay sick leave and shares holders get ridiculous bonuses as they lay more posties off. Paramedics...so bad for them as they can't get to calls and know people are dying. Terrible times ..

The thing about Mr Lynch is he recognises that getting angry, shouting and screaming or using bad language is what the Tories and the media want him to do. He doesn’t give them what they want. He is laser focused on highlighting truth from lies with facts and it is astonishing that the people we pay to lead our country spend more time lying then doing what’s best for the country. As for MP’s pay rises it should be linked to the same percentage that the lowest paid public sector workers get to keep them grounded.

@@elcristoph7380 If everyone was looked after, nothing at all is wrong with someone making a million a year from their own work, but even if all were looked after, there would still be something very wrong with making a million off of the back of the works of others you employ, which is the majority of the rich who got most of their income from rents and dividends, for no work at all, both of which are taxed at a lower rate than the waged labours of workers who created that wealth they never got. Those workers then leave the workplace that prevents democracy in 70% of their waking life from entering, where the 30% of democracy they get when not in work is bent to the wishes of the minority capitalist classes before the majority workforce whose interests are directly opposed to the interests of their bosses, workers need decent pay and conditions, bosses want lower pay and conditions to retain more profits and increase dividend payments to the handfuls at the top of each company be they investors of board members they are often one and the same, and always a handful at most. That wealthy minority then hands some of that extracted wealth to hedge funds, who lend to banks, who lend to workers as credit, meaning for the last 40 years at an ever increasing rate, capitalists have been loaning their workers the wage rises those workers never got, via the financial system, which workers then have to repay to their bosses via the financial system, in full, with interest. A good capitalist hustle till it all fell apart in 2008 and we have never recovered since, the UK economy is smaller today than it was near 13 years ago yet the rich have gotten massively richer. @@Nine-Signs You've told me a collection of 1/2 truths, and I'm not sure you know how wealth is actually created. Although I agree workers do contribute to creating wealth, this only exists within a framework, real wealth is created by the people who have the ideas and those who take the risk to invest in it. Workers come in after this and fill in the spots with either expertise, or repetitive tasks for which they are compensated.. some are compensated with low pay, other with very high pay such as CEO's who are basically well paid workers who are appointed by the board (time cook CEO of apple is an employee.. he owns less the 1%) As far as shares and dividends go. You can open a brokerage in the UK for nothing these days.. Next time you get paid put a % into the S&P500 and you can start building your wealth as well. I'm not sure why your talking about hedge funds, that industry has been in decline for decades. Cuts to bonuses, index investing and AI trading have pushed much of the wealth away from it. If you've been sat in a industry for decades with declining wages and pay rises, the smart and wealthy get out. Why would you remain in a stagnant work setup??
@sajidraja1026
@sajidraja1026 2 жыл бұрын
This is the problem with the deferential British. They firstly worry about the CEO and the board retaining its privileges. Network rail and the operator companies have through slick accounting practices siphoned off funds to the fat cats pretty efficiently. They have been profiteering off the backs of the workers. This laughable comment about workers needing to move out of sectors with declining wages is about to be tested. Let's see how the small army of directors on a million plus will get the service running. Let's see who the real essential workers are and the real, net meaningfulness of the work of the overpaid parasites at the top. In 2008 the politicians perpetrated a state level heist in favour of the bankers. During COVID a mega heist took place in favour of Tory party chums winning plum contracts. It's high time for a general strike because wealth creation hasn't been seen for the majority for more than a decade. It's only been there for a tiny, protected minority.

Fiona Bruce smirking while Mick Lynch is speaking, making a serious point. As a rule and out of courtesy I only smile when someone is making a joke and being intentionally funny. In a recent episode she referred to the Prime Minister as Boris. This is not acceptable. I have not heard any other presenter on any political programme for the last forty years refer to the Prime Minister of the day as by their first name only. Ever. That is because it is not deemed appropriate. Jo Coburn is a good example on Politics Live- she never refers to Johnson as Boris. Incidentally, the BBC should have given her the role of presenting its political programme on a Sunday as she is scrupulously even handed. The BBC claims it believes in impartiality.

@@stephensmith2601 It manifestly does not believe in impartiality. It is an establishment mouthpiece. It is not necessary to be on the left to see this. It is objectively so. I suggest reading some Media Lens, which provides incisive, granular analysis of why the BBC and other media outlets are not impartial. The way it frames issues is part of an establishment stitch up all day long. General Strike 1926- the TUC was not allowed to broadcast on the radio but the government did to great effect given Baldwin's fabled communication skills. In 1984 the footage of police charging at miners at Orgreave was reversed when broadcast on the 9 O' Clock evening news bulletin to make it look like the police was under attack. Government influence of some sort is the only plausible explanation. Even Jeremy Corbyn did not get blamed for that. BBC coverage of Brexit has been a disgrace and Farage has been given acres of airtime compared to others.

Lots of the NHS being shipped out to private companies off the back of Covid, Extreme waiting lists forcing people to pay and go private. Its done slowly by a thousand cuts until one day it will be just like the USA. £3000 for an ambulance £8000 for insurance on health care, that only pays to certain Hospitals, then only part not all, making you sell your house and go bankrupt. Not true? just watch the next move of the Tories. They earn money from private companies. Not only did the letter NOT say no compulsory redundancies it actually said the opposite “we do not have to agree on those redundancies”

Yes, and interesting isn't it, that her tactics are to speak more loudly and emphatically while putting the letter out of sight ..... I was pleased that the audience noticed this and eventually applauded Lynch.

to Fiona Bruce: we are not "going around in circles" as you put it, we are listening to an MP who hammers out inconsistencies (written on paper in front of her) without realising that she hasn't understood what they are saying... so "Fiona Bruce".. you leapt in to get her off the hook ...Mick, you are an articulate, impassioned, credit to the Trade Union movement and working class people, who hopefully will come to realise that they are being took for mugs and have been for a long long time..I said, and still say...years ago, we asked for pay rises...of £5, £10 ..£20 ACROSS THE BOARD. so all people got an equal pay rise...once they became "percentages" the divide of rich and poor got ever wider....10% of a man on £500 a week is far different from a man on £5000....yet they bleat...that everyone got the same pay rise.
