AC/DCs quiet rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young was the musical genius behind that band, and although I never listened to Motley Crue, I'm beginning to understand how SEMINAL Mick and his guitar work was to their success ...the foundation of wicked chops beneath all the pomp and circumstance that "floated" on top of it.

John 5 is a fantastic player. Nikki wasn't stupid (not always the case) to hire him to replace Mick. This seems like a case of Roger Waters hiring Jeff Beck to play guitar on his solo album. It says a lot about Mick as a player that they had to get John 5 to replace him, just like Waters had to get someone like Jeff Beck to replace Gilmour.

Without Mick the band Motley Crue would have never hit the big success they had. His guitar riffs are what brought the fans and album sales. Vince , nikki & Tommy were 3 teenage punks who never grew up. Mick was always the ROCK that grounded motley crue as a 80,s force. So glad Micks other side of mars is doing well. Hope it goes quintuple platinum just to show those other 3 you carried for years that MOTLEY CRUE was MICK and without him is a JOKE.
