Ah cheers! I'm making Morrowind videos for that very reason as it's still very lacking in terms of content. It also shows that there's still huge interest in this game even almost 20 years after its release.

Absolutely... And the best thing about these videos right here is, that the guy play Morrowind in overall vanilla style (besides some vewdistance enhancements). There is a lot of Morrowind content on KZfaq, even some long LPs. But 90% of them are just ULTRA modded. Sure, Morrowind looks nice in Oblivions engine or general graphic overhauls... but it doenst feel right... it hase more the feel to it that the player is more concerned about pretty graphics instead of the very good gameplay Morrowind has actually to offer... This channel right here is pure gold in my eyes.

@@Randleray yeah, I’ve always modded graphics in my replays, but never changed the faces or opted into oblivionisation of the visuals - they resemble the childhood memories and are totally beautiful.

There's also a guy - SorcererDave, he has a Morrowind let's play that is going for 5 years at this point. Although I expect most Morrowind fans are aware of him

@@SpunkMayo I imagine that the Area Effect Arrows plug-in would be very handy for a marksman attempting the Siege at Firemoth, since most of it involves dealing with hordes of skeletons and later rats. I don't know how they would out-damage the lich's regeneration though. Perhaps the darts from the Dwemer ruin under Mournhold are strong enough. Or just use one of the precious Ebony Arrows of Slaying that I never use because what if there's something even stronger that I need it for.

Not exactly. There are adamantium helmets in Tribunal: you can find them, and you can ask the blacksmith to make one from the adamantium ore. But there is another official plugin that came before Tribunal, that adds the adamantium armor to Vvanderfell, and this exact plugin lacks the helmet.

Before being added into the game "officially" with Tribunal, adamantium armor was added by one of the official plug-ins. If you're playing a medium armor character, I highly recommend the Adamantium Armor and Helm of Tohan plug-ins even if you have Tribunal, because even with Tribunal the only way to "buy" Adamantium armor is to take the ore to the Smith and have him craft it for you. There are a limited number of Adamantium ore rocks in Tribunal, they never respawn, and the amount of ore they have is random. I don't know if it is even possible to get enough ore to craft a full set.

@@AaronJLong couldn't you just kill apelles matius after he tell you about asciene rane? He has a full set without the helmet, then you can just collect some ore and make the helmet.

I just gave up and enchanted an Exquisite belt with constant levitation when I had the money.

I'll look into it! Was thinking of tackling Morrowind mods eventually. I'm not the biggest fan of huge graphic overhaul mods but that one looks really impressive!

@@Guitar-Dog You had to save constantly and the random crashes. Not to mention the horrendous load time. Now it is excellent no crashes or slow down.

Morrowind was absolutely brutal if you had no prior experience with Tamriel. The game didn't care that you didn't understand any of the lore, jargon or setting in general. It certainly wasn't going to take the time to explain anything unless it was a direct game mechanic. It didn't give two shits that you understood nothing of the setting you were dropped into and treated you as if you should have the life experience and resulting context of that setting guiding you as it does in reality. Learning to understand all of it by reading books, talking to characters and making connections with repeated exposure was a brutal way to learn the bare essentials to even understand Morrowind. The game has so much jargon it might as well be a foreign language to a newcomer. But learning to speak the language, understand the world and various cultures of Vvardenfell was such a unique experience. It can take dozens of hours and multiple restarts before you even roughly understand concepts like the Tribunal, Deadra, the various factions, the calendar and major history that are crucial to the main plot. Simply because the game doesn't hold your hand and lets you learn at your own pace. In a way no other game has ever even approached for me. Then once you have the context to understand it, you actually play it with eyes to see. Then you see just how alien Morrowind is both as a setting and a game in its own series. Then you go digging into the lore that isn't in the games and realize how utterly mad the writers are at their best/worst (matter of perspective) That's a true love or hate it masterpiece for very good reasons on both sides.

Its honestly not bad imo, and starting with the steed makes running speeds similar to oblivion, but I usually just get the lords mail and boots of blinding speed in the beginning so my speed is like 240 at lvl 1. Faster than any character can run oblivion and sprint in skyrim.

It makes it feel way better by the time you are higher level or get enchanted items. It feels like you earned it. Plus it makes unique builds like a cat burglar or acrobatics expert possible and gives you an immediate advantage for focusing on skills that boost starting speed and jump heights.

I'd love to at some point! Really want to try Skyrim Home of the Nords. I've never modded Morrowind before so it's something I definitely need to research soon.

@@MickyD Well I recommend you to look at the channel Morrowind mod showcase for this . most of the west of skyrim has been done with quest already, Tamriel rebuilt is also pretty far advanced, but if you want something shorter for your content I recommend you to look at the "New lands" and "Quest and adventure" of the Morrowind Nexus .

I never did them as a kid. Only did main quest and other side stuff

I used to make a nord character teach him a spell unlock door level 10-100 and fail casting the spell for a while until eventually I could unlock the door. Then I would have a character that could resist fire and frost 100%.

@@Guitar-Dog I generally agree, but I'm mostly asking about how he got the draw distance that far. Do you know if that is some sort of file tweak or if a plugin handles that?

@@jellyfishjig I think you need to get a mod, but it could just be max graphics, go on TESnexus and search morrowind draw distance I’m sure you will find loads

Morrowind has a graphics extender you can get on tesnexus which increases draw distance
