Thanks for the first impressions of the iX. Went to the kickoff event at my local dealer in Sudbury MA a couple of weeks ago. Pretty lavish affair that was well attended. While the iX is an impressive vehicle in the SUV space I have always preferred smaller compact "driver" vehicles. As a current owner of a 3-series (325i manual) I have been waiting in great anticipation for the i4. I figured that it would take awhile before BMW would have a direct competitor to Tesla but they were in no rush and were going to do all the engineering right (I hope). They are taking the long view and I expect an a series of continuing innovations that BMW earned with a well established history. While the SUV market has certainly dominated the car market over the past couple of decades, I think the i4 will prove to be a major competitor for Tesla and the Model 3 in particular. Would appreciated seeing your video impressions of the i4.
