Thanks again for the quick response. If there's no problem starting and running my 17.000 A/C with a Honda 2000 generator once I get the Easy Start. I'll surely order one!

So let me get this straight and ensure that I understand what is being said here...You are saying that they can successfully run a 13,500 BTU and 15,000 BTU AC unit in Florida heat from one Honda eu2000? I was under the impression that a 13,500 used about 1200 running watts and a 15,000 used about 1500 running watts. What am I missing here?

Hello James. You are correct and you are not missing anything. A Honda EU2000i can run a 13.5k or 15kBTU A/C, but it cannot start it without EasyStart. EasyStart enables you start, and therefore run the A/C on this generator. How difficult is it to install the Easy Start 364. 3-ton single phace in my sailboat. It easy to get to the compressor, but I'm no electrician ....

Hello BLS. Thank you for your question. Installing the EasyStart into a 3-ton system in your sailboat should be very straightforward. Believe it or not, EasyStart was originally designed for marine applications, and Dometic marine is our largest OEM customer for controls we make for them. Chances are, your sailboat's A/C system has one of our thermostatic controls already in it. EasyStart will therefore be an easy addition. It will be wired in at the electric box where the control board and run capacitor reside. Typically, you do not need to directly wire to the compressor since all of its wires terminate in the electric box anyway.

I ran my ac off a Predator 2000w generator using the Easy Air but it ran on overload 14amp when the pump was on and ac would not start with generator on Eco mode. The AC does work great with my Champion 3000 watt generator even when running on propane.

We have a network of marine and RV installation/sales dealers around the USA and world, one of which is a distributor in Savannah, GA. They have their own small network of marine dealers that we don't list on our website, one of which might be willing to do an installation into your Rotary Aire system from Westerbeke.
