Micro quads overview

A run through of the initial release of micro quads in VelociDrone. This will be released as premium content for a small one of payment. We already have three other quads in development to add to this package - including the BetaFPV 1S Meteor 65 and the Mobula 6 1S 65mm

Please consider adding 3D mode in the new update. Literally the only reason to run liftoff. i just love the feel of velocidrone. Great work, guys and gals!

I love velocidrone but PLEASE do something about the scenery selection screen. The UI is horrible to navigate through. How about a grid with all the maps (thumbnails) on one screen ?

not a good idea - filling the screen with pictures of scenery will leave no room at all to display the tracks. It is designed the way it is because our heavy users have literally hundreds of tracks and track selection and search function, favouriting and so on is far more important than some pretty images.

@@Velocidrone I never use the tracks. I just want to select and scenery and have fun in it. I'm sure i'm not the only one. But even then, you could select the scenery and then add the track list? Or on the main menu have two scenery choices : free mode and tracks mode? Just my 2 cents :)

@@Velocidrone That's the reason I switched from Liftoff to Velocidrone, keep the track selection quick and efficient!!! :) Btw, if you select a track from All tracks tab and after some flying you press "change scenery - track" one needs to click click click to get back to the All tracks tab, would be great if it would keep last selected scenery including all tracks tab instead of switching to the one which the last track you ran belongs to.

Fantastic, Ash! Thanks. Two things: 1. Is an update required for these new features or will they simply be available next time I fire up the sim? 2. I tend to fly from the “All Tracks” scenery with my favourites selected, but whenever I want to change tracks the Change Scenery icon takes me to the “home” scenery of the selected track, not back to All Tracks. So I have to navigate back to All Tracks, select favourites and pick a new track. It’s a minor inconvenience, but perhaps something that is worth addressing in the future. Cheers.

1. it will be a premium content update - so there will be a one time small charge and then you have access. 2. Aware of this - it's just how the sim works, it always brings up the track list for the current scenery

@@cragsolutions1129 we have the ability to make it possible to build your own houses in the track editor - however - that will not be in this initial release. You can of course already build full bando areas in the track editor.

Regarding the PID options, what should one do to minimize pitch wobble during throttle changes?

Either turn off battery mass effect in quad settings or reduce it, or play with anti gravity settings. Pid values do not change pitching due to battery mass.

I noticed on someone’s custom track they have the newbeedrone gates which is awesome but in the track editor I didn’t see them as a option. Any clue how I get them? About to start watching the custom track series so I can make some tracks

we do stuff properly, they are physically small drones done to the exact correct scale.

im trying to get something as close to my quad (unflown Diatone Taycan). Can I get there using this upgrade and some tuning?

Taycan is a large cinewhoop ... it will fly quite differently to an ordinary whoop. So I don't expect you will be able to get that close to it until we introduce cine whoops into the simulator.

if you want infinite races then play liftoff, it is not in our development plan to just rip off other simulators features.

Hello, im using velocidrone on old machine.. I5 8gb and hd4000 graphic... I would like to ask you to add lower graphic option, just mimic the fpv feed.. (Low res dvr) not hd view like the default.. Im struggling to get nice fps to fly in big maps.. I only get 30-40 fpa on football stadium or empty map... Please consider it.. Dont ask us to upgrade our pc/laptop specs to play your sim.. I love velocidrone so much... Thanks

Hd4000 is as low as we can go, below this and the gpu doesn't support the shaders we use anymore as the card is just too old. You should just reduce screen resolution is you want a dvr type look to it.

When will you guys fix the fact that all the drones float like a mother flipper if I have no throttle I should be dropping down not floating down ??? Really love the game but find it hard to feel like I’m actually flying a real drone sense it’s so floaty no matter what settings I try

When gravity changes how it works. We have time lapse videos, speed gunned and done hours of testing on drop speeds and the sim is physically accurate, in almost all cases it is minutely faster than a real quad to drop.

all three rate profiles are in angle mode
