Big Dog your videos helped me on how to fix a problem with my 50 inch Vizio D series tv. You fixed a vizio tv just like mine by heating the main chip to reconnect the solder points. I purchased a heat gun ; I made a smaller funnel tip to the end of the gun with beer can aluminum ; used a timer and digital thermometer to attempt to copy what you did to fix the problem. It worked ! thank you for saving my 6 years old tv ; and not having to buy another tv. Your videos are great . you carefully explain all the moves about the work you are doing . You talk and explain the steps your are doing like I'm right there watching you work.You have a very common sense down to earth demeaner. Good luck making more videos for your subscribers.

Big Dog, love you posts. I need help I have Samsung 55" Un55mu6290fxza .Q7000 I have replaced the cup (main) board with a BN94-12642M a year ago. After replaced it started right up. I ran it for several hours and days. All seemed good. My neighbor picked it up and placed it in the closet for almost a year. In early February he tried to run the unit. Not working. Back lights work when connector is removed and look good. No pic no sound. I have removed all external connections but it makes no difference. I have tried a TV reset (hold the start PB for 30 seconds with power cord removed. Then push for full reset). No good. This is the same symptom it had a year ago. Red light is on but when back red button (start) pushed Red light flashes quickly maybe 6 times and returns to solid. Nothing else happens. Back lights do not turn on unless main board connector is removed. It would help to have an explanation on the standby power supply to start up. power supply gets look good. Even a simple wiring diagram would help. This unit does not the 3rd board with diagnostic (CB good) LEDs. only power supply and Main. If I use the remote Red light behaves same as push button. Not sure what else to do.

Easier removal: Apply solder to one end only. Lift end off the board while keeping all pins molten. Half the chip is now free from board. Apply solder to remaining end and chip is out. No need for hot air. Btw. these models are so old that apps don't work any more anyways.
