In this short screencast we'll study how table relationships affect SELECT queries, how unrelated tables create Cartesian joins, and how queries store SQL statements. We will also revisit the fundamental benefits of a relational database, how tables store all data even though it can be viewed in multiple ways using queries, and how queries can be used to update data.

You're very welcome. Sometimes I use the sample Northwind database that is provided as a free template from Microsoft. To get the unique databases I've created and sometimes use in these KZfaqs you'd need to purchase the Illustrated Access textbook that matches the version of Access you have from Cengage.

Thank you for making these videos! I love your teaching style. I have learned so much in such a short time. I really like how you explain things in a "common sense" way, without going down "rabbit holes". What is really helpful, is that you explain the "why". Plus, you sound so much like Jodie Foster :) I look forward to more videos!!
