Hello everyone, this is the 7th episode of the G3000 tutorial series, We're going to compare the two G3000 units Beechcraft King air 350i vs TBM 930

The DME is there. If you notice when you set the VOR it has 2mi right above the PXR name. On the PFD by the HSI.

Ident only works when you have the ALT reporting on. On the XPDR you normally select the ALT upon pre takeoff check list with Lights.

There was a mod on flightsim.to but not sure if it's updated to work with the latest sim update.

Thanks--it is frustrating how much of the real-world functionality is missing and how the annoying UI makes it difficult/impossible to scroll/choose certain menu items (when you were trying to choose appr/rwy). BtW, do you know how to change the orientation to track-up?

I agree, hopefully the pay ware steam gauge addon will improve this aircraft and make it better. I personally don't like glass cockpits in GA aircraft.

Maybe by dragging the side bar to scroll trough the list of items you drag it to much at once so your mouse cursor exits the side bar and make the list reset to the place it was. Maybe try in a few shorter steps and stay on the side bar...

That's true but when I'm recording there are a lot of things happening at the same time. I need to get better at multitasking :)

Such a shame about the missing functionality. I wonder whether 3rd Party Addon aircraft will have more complete implementation of the G3000.

No one knows for sure but King Air 350 is one of my favorite and I hope MS adds missing bits and pieces in the future. 3rd party aircrafts are always been much more complete than default but we'll see who will develop a King Air 350 for MSFS

The Sim Pilot from what I saw in the official forum last night, the latest patch has broken more than it fixed. I have xplane 10 already, haven’t brought FS2020 yet. I might try to follow these in xplane.

@@justinfielding Correct, still trying to download and re install after 60 hours. I ran into some problems with download required a clean install. Unfortunately download servers are to busy and taking too long to download.

At starting , you have on the same screen PFD, map and engine information. how it is possible to get?

It's how G3000 functions until you turn on the avionics everything is displayed on PFD. Unfortunately not an option you can select during flight as far as I know.

I think the chart functionality comes from Working Title G3X mod.

When I turn on engine anti icing I get yellow warning for iner sep, but I can’t find it lol, anyone know where it is please?

Inertial separator is tied to Anti Ice switch in King Air 350i. It's job is to prevent any foreign object sucked into the engine through the air intake. It makes sense to tie it to anti-ice because most common cause is big chunks of ice getting into the engine. TBM has a separate switch for that but King Air 350 does not.

@@allanj there should be a direct to button in the MFD menu. I'll look it up when I am back home can't remember exactly where.

@@TheSimPilot Forgot to say that I'm using the Working Title's G3X enhancement mod. But now I tried it for like the 5th time in the sim - and I actually figured it out! When you click the waypoint on your flight plan you get a set of overlay buttons - this is where the Direct To doesn't work. But if you go back the main menu with Map, Active FPL, Procedures, etc you also have a Direct-To button there. This one works - and it won't even mess up your flight plan! Thanks for the help :D :D

Totally Wrong Start Up! How? 1 you are moving the Prop out of Feather. You should have Props full forward on Start. 2 I see the Fuel Control Valves full forward which can lead to a HOT Start which is Fatal Damage to the Engines. The Full Control Valves should be in shut off position and moved to Low Idle Position on 11-12 NG then full forward upon Good Engine Start to charge the Battery for The next engine start. Should be Left engine start followed by Right engine. Then once started you can go back to low ideal position through taxi to full forward on runway line up. Other than that all looks good on the rest. I did put a request to change the MFD to have the Engine Gauges on the Left Side of the MFD. They are on the wrong side of the MFD according to the Real KA350i and the New KA360i. Go vote for it in the MSFS forums.

Any time I love flying I hope others do to I’m one of the guys who want every one to learn as much as the can. I sure hope a study level KA comes out in the future. I do have my Pilots Lic with Instrument Rating. I absolutely loved the Flight 1 KA 200 for FS9 lots of time in that one.

I've seen a tutorial made by a real KA 350 pilot and the start up sequence is rather different from this one.....

Could be I'm not claiming that this tutorial is %100 in alignment with real world procedures. Plus the aircraft does not behave like the real life KA350 as well.

@@TheSimPilot this is quite obvious, but you've mistaken the condition levers by propeller RPM. When you start engines, Propeller rpm must be full forward and Condition Levers set to flight idle. You did the opposite !
