You could use flaps. On a Logitech Keyboard, the flaps are F5, F6, (for retracting flaps) and F7, F8 (for extending flaps).

Same reason Rockstar can have the knock-off cars they make for GTA explode, but racing sims like Forza and Gran Turismo can only have them get scratches on the paint, the companies don't want the IP they license to be used in these games to be able to be destroyed.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft has scheduled a full decade of updates for Flight Simulator so just a matter of time. In fact i will go as far as to say that, even as amazing as the sim looks right now, it will be barely recognizable in five years time.

My guess on why planes don't explode is that they have to get permission from the manufacturers to use their planes in the game, and it wouldn't be a good look if they exploded because you'd have a million videos of people crashing planes into buildings.

And have a civil campaign where you build your way up from a cessna to earning enough money to start an airline with paid pilots and having to invest in more and bigger planes flying cargo and passengers. And add 30 or so different military planes for a military campaign :) Not adding fighter jets is a huge mistake. Who wouldnt want to do a spy run over moscow with an SR71 Blackbird, with a few MIG 25 Foxbats on your tail? Not taking anything away from this simulator, but tbf simulators get boring very quickly for most people. We need some reasons to fly, aimless flying is dull. Microsoft have endless possibilities to make this game much more than a start-landing loop with a Cessna.

Definitely the best new feature of the 787 Dreamliner. Certainly beats the "gonna crash" feature the 737 MAX has.

Maybe just learn how to fly the airbus properly lmao. You probably have your flaps down or your landing gear down. Can easily climb at 320 knots and cruise at 36,000ft at 280 knots if you know what you are doing.
