I mean, it’s probably going to have some negative effects. This is a case where Microsoft had already fixed the issue, yet was sued a year later, this might sound like a win for consumers, but it sets a precedent that anyone can be sued a year later even if the problem is fixed. Of course, another thing that could happen is the companies pulling out of countries that are hitting them with these relatively unfair lawsuits and hurting anybody who relied on them. There’s tons of companies that are doing something bad, but setting a bad precedent could do way worse.

If the US would give real fines like the EU it would have. The US is more concerned with serving large corporations that it's people. That's why most US antitrust suits have little to no teeth. The EU came out swinging. 10% or their revenue, that's how set an example to corporations. Just like we had to rely on the EU to force apple to use the USB C. It's also coming to light that these newer operating systems are easily compromised, are not secure, and has been causing problems in rather serious environments. Like banks. Or hospitals. Or security systems. It's to the point that our Government is still using Windows 7, because all the new stuff just isn't even protected, and even if you tried yourself you can't protect it. Because they reset. Everything. They make shutting off forced updates a bitch on newer systems, and then they just fuckin' undo it anyways. And the fact they can do that is not cool. That actually directly resembles malware. Which detectives have already called out. Yeah, there are detectives looking into this severe security issue. Microsoft needs to fuckin' quit the shit.
@JeremyFinch42Ай бұрын
@@ValipPowa No, it IS safer. Because it is not constantly undermining any attempts at security. People have had problems with Windows 11 causing security systems and surveillance programs to lock up or reset during an automatic update. This is even including magnetically locked doors, as people are connecting their whole system to these computers, which are also connected to the internet. That's another issue. Computers used in security aren't supposed to be connected online. They should only communicate to other systems and devices through a physical tether. Everything is online. That's why Windows XP AND 7 are being used in some of the most robust security systems. They can be set up for physical line access only. Whereas with 11, it doesn't matter. Because their own updates will interfere with whatever software is currently running, and that in itself has become a massive security issue. People connecting their HVAC system to their open computer network for remote control is the type of shit that has actually compromised security. Credit card companies have been hacked through the HVAC units, because everything is wireless, including the HVAC units, and they were connected to the network so employees could control the thermostat from their computers. No. Shit. It is the most retarded stuff. Oh, and those HVACs got locked up, and basically rendered broken and useless. So that company had to spend thousands in repairs over this. It's not like Windows 7 is just automatically more secure. It's the options you have to limit and restrict it that make it safer. If you don't limit it or restrict it, or can't, it's gonna get compromised and easily. They took those options away. That's why XP and 7 is used by the feds. The average person and company can't even afford to have it set up the old way, with telephone lines and such. But THEY could. Definitely.
