I have multiple of the gen 3 scarabs. A proof run and 2 from the past couple months. It’s the most badass OTF model in the knife industry. No competition. You are right about that light saber comment lmao. The blade in it is so badass. The spine the swedges all 🤌🏻🤌🏻 Firing it compared to my non-gen 3 CT is a breeze. Even though my thumb is on roids now from using that thing.

Really nice video, however you should invest in a better mic to control the echo, brighter background and most importantly a video light so better show the details of these knives.

PSA: The flutes on the spine of the scarab 2 gen 3 are no longer being produced. the spines are flat now. lucky you got one!

Bought the Hera II, Cypher II, Combat Troodon Gen III, Hera Mini, and the new Scarab II. Hera II looks the cleanest with no visable torx screws except the glass breaker. Cypher II is the easiest to sharpen and is easier to carry as it's smaller and also has no visable screws. Combat Troodon feels the best in hand with the swells. Action feels the same as the Hera II and Scarab II Hera Mini is obviously the cutest, such a small otf Scarab II has my favorite blade to cut All of the above have the same dual spring system, but they did shrink the size of the Cypher II (3.5" blade) Apparently the gen 1 Scarab had the Combat Troodon grip? I don't think they called it the gen 1, they just sort of called the next one "Scarab II". The new and old Scarab II look very similar, only difference on the outside is the rubber texture pattern. As for the switch rattle, my Hera Mini and Cypher II has it if I remove the spring inside that rests between the switch and handle. If I leave it in, it doesn't rattle nearly as much, but it was have a "creeping" feeling and (very little) noise. They should** all have a spring in there, but I lost the spring on my Hera II, but It didn't matter. Doesn't rattle and didn't have the "creeping" feeling before or after. I'm pretty new to this hobby, so your comparison to the past generation springs was eye-opening, thank you!
