I have a Teal one with purple accents with a different milling pattern, my relief cuts on the inside have the feather milling. It is by far the best detent I have tried on par with makers like GTC! Holt Bladeworks are truly world class!

The grease CRK uses in the pivot is closely similar to, if not Krytox 240AC. This stuff is way overkill for a pocket knife's operating temperature range... Its consumables tell something about what kind of expectation it has to face at this price.

This is my first Microtech. I'm tired of small knives, they're boring. I needed a big, brutal knife, but it also had to be not too heavy. Amphibian suited my requirements perfectly. Now I carry this monster every day and feel like I can do any task, from opening damn Amazon packages to destroying steaks (I have to stop myself from chopping them into small cubes because this thing cuts like a Jedi sword).

100% agree - I have a heretic on the way but have 17 recent Microtech’s and they are just crushing everyone. The new Ultratech is getting a titanium clip with silicone carbide ball, a revised integrated glass breaker in a titanium housing, type III anodizing for the clear, the new double spring firing system that’s game changing which would justify a big price increase but they didn’t stop there / it’s also zero blade play - all for like a $40 hike! Unbelievable and worthy of our appreciation and absolutely getting g my money.

I’m REALLY interested in the new ultratech. Going to try and hold it together and wait for a cool colorway before buying one.

I've met Chris on several occasions... Very nice guy. That said the Sabenza is a $100-150 knife at most with a huge "internet hipster" tax and a frame-lock aka the shittiest, laziest type of lock you can put on a knife. It's a purse or a stupid pair of shoes only for guys online who have soft hands.
@POVKnives28 күн бұрын
LOL tell us how you really feel. "for guys online who have soft hands" lol
@jdisdetermined6 күн бұрын
lol. I disagree with your price, they're undeniably high quality, USA made in premium materials, they're at least $350+ knives. But I agree they're a closet hipster knife now. The same people who think records "sound better" think CRKs still have good action and ergonomics. The same people who still buy new Benchmades buy CRKs. Literally the only thing I liked about mine, aside from where it was made, was the resale value. I sold it for what I paid for it, bought a Herman, and that was everything I wanted in a premium knife.

Benchmade has worked on their pricing, they have steadily increased it - more expensive with A LOT more plastic - completely disgraceful of Benchmade and frankly, Microtech is doing the opposite - better materials like titanium, new designs and fair pricing.

Not sure why everyone is waiting so long and ordering direct from CRK. You can find them brand new on secondary market or many small sebenzas are sitting at dealers. If you pay a markup, it’s not a big deal, probably the price of going out to dinner at this point. Go look at DLT. Lots of smalls there right now. Or go to a knife show and pick one up. Don’t get a glass blasted. Let those snail trails shine!
@POVKnivesАй бұрын

Comparing a Zaan to a Rolex is not really.... reasonable. 1. You can buy a Zaan online from dealers (if you sign up for emails and get lucky) 2. You can pay the mark up if you want one that bad, and I get that in percentage terms, its similar, but in dollar terms, it is not. 3. There is no "wait list" for a Zaan. There really isn't one for a Rolex either (hahaha) even though they will tell you that there is... 4. A Zaan cost what, $500 new from a dealer and how much on eBay? $750? A white Daytona is never going to be obtainable from a dealer unless you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars, and if you want to play the gray market, a $15,000 watch becomes $30-32,000. Not really an apples to apples comparison. Again, I understand that percentages are similar (using something like a 126610LN for example), but most people would be more willing to spend an extra $200 vs an extra $3500. Great video though, very informative. :)

1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Christ Died for our sins according to the scriptures, and that He was Buried, and that He Rose Again the Third Day according to the scriptures. Accept Christ as Savior and BELIEVE in Him and what He did for YOU at the Cross. Your next breath is NOT guaranteed, and if you die in your sins without being saved, you will spend Eternity in Hell separated from God. Jesus paid the ultimate price for our sins so we could spend Eternity with Him in Heaven, God is the source of LOVE. Through Jesus your sins are Forgiven, Fellowship with God The Father is Restored, and you’ll be on the narrow path through Christ to Eternal Life ( Heaven ). Jesus is the ONLY WAY to The Father, and the ONLY WAY to Heaven, make the right decision TODAY!!!!! for your soul depends on it. Christ is Coming back for us so much SOONER than any of us Think!!!!. The Rapture of the Church is IMMINENT, keep looking up and Don’t be afraid about what’s happening or about what’s coming, God is in Full control, Trust in Him and have Faith. God Bless you all and I’ll see you in the clouds with Christ, and at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb VERY VERY SOON!!!!!.

Another great side-by-side video! I still have to watch more of your channel, but I wonder if you own any Hinderers with a Harpoon Spanto blade shape? This is the blade shape I want to get someday because it's so unique and cool looking to me. I don't know if Hinderer ever makes it on the XM-24 though, which is the size I want. It's ok, maybe I'll just go for the XM-18 instead. My wife does not share my "enthusiasm" (A.K.A. obsession) for knife collecting - especially for $800+ knives, so I have to collect slowly when she's in a good mood! 🤭

TRULY EXCELLENT REVIEW! Chris Reeve Knives should pay you! So nice to be able to see you compare and contrast all the different models, blades, inlays, and finishes to help us decide which one we want to start with. You are really a PRO when it comes to CRK, and it is so helpful to hear all your tips and recommendations! (I just subscribed to your channel, maybe you're a pro with other knives too!) Also, not many people would have so many CRK to compare side-by-side, so that was cool to see. Funny because I thought I knew what I wanted (Large Sebenza), but after watching your video - it made me think maybe an Umnumzaan? Maybe an Inkosi? I'll have to watch your video a few more times and really think about it. Also, I didn't think I would want Mnandi (because I like larger knives), but after this video - now I definitely want to get one for more formal occasions! I still think I'll end up getting the Large Sebenza, just because it is what I always wanted, and it's such a classic. I guess I'll just have to just slowly buy a few of them! I also want to get a Pacific fixed blade someday - and I think they're making them in Magnacut now! 😃 The other high-end knife I want to get (someday) is a Hinderer XM-24 with full stonewashed titanium scales - so cool! Thanks for taking so much effort and time to make this video!

That looks like it's as thick BTE as the speedgoat is at the spine. I'll never understand the point of a 3-4" fixed blade with geometry like this, and made in a super steel. It could be in 420HC and there'd be zero discernable difference.

It actually cuts GREAT. I was really surprised. Theres a solid edge on there. Its one of my favorite EDC fixed blades.

I have 4k worth of knives (including my Umnumzaan, Sebenza, and Inkosi) and do not like the look or hype about Spyderco. I bought that Slysz Bowie on a whim and damn, don't I 100% agree with your take. I'm a retired tradesman who has been using handtools/knives for over 45yrs, long before battery operated anything (other than flashlights) and this knife went into my pocket and never came out. Anyone who fusses about this knife is into pocket jewelry and not knife utility. This knife is meant to be used and abused and in my pocket every day. I'm going to buy a back-up once they re-release. Good video; I'm gonna watch more. Cheers!
