Despicable Me 3 - 2017
The mischievous Minions hope that Gru will return to a life of crime after the new boss of the Anti-Villain League fires him. Instead, Gru decides to remain retired and travel to Freedonia to meet his long-lost twin brother for the first time. The reunited siblings soon find themselves in an uneasy alliance to take down the elusive Balthazar Bratt, a former 1980s child star who seeks revenge against the world.

Balthazar Bratt is a hilarious addition to the despicable me villain roster. He has a disco light ball grappling hook that shoots from a Walkman playing “Take on me”. Also, he moon walks on water.

Honestly the fourth movie should be about Gru's girls all grown up working for the AVL trying to stop El Macho's son, who has become a villain due to the bitter loss of his dad and now wants revenge on Gru and his family, and the girls need Gru's help one last time to take out another foe and save the day.

I literally wrote a fanfiction about this when I was younger. They were older but not adults, but basically the premise was Antonio had become a supervillain and Edith basically went behind Gru and Nefario's backs and enlisted the minions to make her spy gadget/superhero stuff to become a child superhero and eventually got her sisters in on it too. I wrote it before DM3 released, so this comment has been a blast to the past. Wonder if I still have the document saved somewhere

I kinda hope they would introduce superheroes into the minion-verse, as opposed to villains. Maybe they can introduce an actual hero that’s is kind of a jerk and a minor antagonists, like a G-Rated Homelander
