The Incredibles - 2004
In this lauded Pixar animated film, married superheroes Mr. Incredible (Craig T. Nelson) and Elastigirl (Holly Hunter) are forced to assume mundane lives as Bob and Helen Parr after all super-powered activities have been banned by the government. While Mr. Incredible loves his wife and kids, he longs to return to a life of adventure, and he gets a chance when summoned to an island to battle an out-of-control robot. Soon, Mr. Incredible is in trouble, and it's up to his family to save him.

Insane fun fact: In the DVD extras for this movie, there are info logs you can read about various other superheroes and superhero teams in this universe. In one of these logs, it’s implied that Nomanisan Island used to be owned by one of the biggest superhero teams, and ALL OF THEIR MEMBERS WERE KILLED BY SYNDROME’S ROBOTS. This means that Syndrome single-handedly took out an *entire team of supers* and just stole their island base, and that is absolutely BALLER.

Fun fact: The Incredibles was also intended to push the boundaries of what animation could do. Consider all of the environmental elements, body figures, and facial expressions that had to be animated- most of them, by hand. (For the shots as Mr. Incredible is slid into the pod above the forest island, custom software had to be developed to enable the physics of his stomach.)

As a kid i enjoyed how cool the movie was As an adult, holy crap i DEEPLY appreciate how real it feels. Especially the family side of it and how their powers fit their roles so well Brad Bird truly hit gold on this and to this day is still easily one of the best Pixar movies ever

Bob is the strongest, because father. Elen is very elastic, because she has to do like a thousand things during the day, often more than one at the same time. Flash is energetic and zips everywhere at full speed. Violet is shy and tends to hide and build boundaries around herself. Jack-Jack is pure potential, so he can become anything. it's all coming together.

I feel like it would make since for Syndrome to have perfected those "flying disks" considering how excited he was with his rocket boots and being able to fly. It's my favorite movie period. It is absolute perfection. My only true 10/10 movie. Childhood nostalgia miiiight play a factor, but it's just so amazing to me. Things like into the spiderverse and the last wish are 9/10s for me, but this is just 👌

The Underminer seems like he was written as a joke because that’s exactly what happened. The Voice Actor that voiced him gets a role explicitly written for him to voice in every Pixar movie. He is Hamm the Piggy Bank in Toy Story, the Abominable Snowman in Monster’s Inc, and Mack the Truck in Cars, among other roles.

8:32 this is exactly how I feel about the iCarly reboot. “Look we say bad words and drink alc*hol and have S*X! 😱” and then the acting downgrades to cheesy Disney Channel mannerisms. Adults actually prefer the Nickelodeon version because they spoke like real people and you never really knew what was gonna happen cause it was so random and unhinged. As a kid, I enjoyed this movie a lot but mostly only ever watched it from Dash's chase scene bc of how dark thr first part is. I remember specifically asking my mom why the guy at the beginning would jump off a building. Now, as an adult, I totally love the movie and it's one of the few I give a 10/10.

I Recognize the trend of animated movie sequels being more cartoony than their predecessors such as, Angry Birds movie 2 and, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2. and I guess you can put Madagascar 3 up their too, but maybe I'm just dumb. after all I haven't seen those movies in a long time, but I do remember the scenes In them.

I remember the parts when they become super heroes and all the awesomeness of that, even specific scenes that I just loved and I'm still not sure why. But I don't remember the beginning part of this movie at all. I must've just always gone to scene selection, but I don't remember doing that either... Maybe I saw it once? Even so, I loved this movie when I was younger. Such a good movie.

I remember at an old after school care we had a massive Incredibles poster, and it slowly ripped away.. until someone just took it down. I still remember it to this day, 😂 and also: 2 r d movie

I watched this movie a lot as a kid. However, it was one of those movies (the other being monsters inc) that despite seeing it so many times I could quote it, I didn’t understand what was happening until I was like 12 😂
