Camp Rock - 2008
A teenage girl desperately wants to spend her summer in a rock camp, but the only way she can get in is by working in the kitchen. When a teen pop star overhears her singing, he sets out to find the girl behind the voice. I gotta say, watching them fight over the “cookies” was the most frustrated I’ve been all day, I knew they were potatoes but I couldn’t say they were potatoes. It was like watching kids fighting about the minecraft chicken being a duck.

I have a story with this movie that I'll never forget. This came out when I was in eighth grade, and I soon learned that it was a _big deal_ due to the presence of one Nick Jonas. The girls in my class spoke his name in awed tones. And one night, I was invited to a party at a classmate's house, along with about half the girls in my grade in tow. I'll never forget the scene where the Jonas brothers are introduce at the side of the pool. When the camera focused on Nick, I could see his lips move, but I couldn't hear what words came from them, as I was suddenly surrounded by the screams of all those girls. The rest of the movie was...there. It was all very innocent, and that night we were young and innocent, free from the cares of the world.

I remember watching this movie on Senior Prom night of 2015, depressed from being rejected after asking a girl out. I walked over to my friends house who happened to already be drinking and if not more depressed than I already was. After feeling sorry for ourselves we decided to watch a movie we knew we wouldn't enjoy, Camp Rock. I apparently was already drunk upon entering his room but I do not remember how I got the alcohol in the first place. But my friend he had a bottle of 100 proof Captain Morgan dark rum. And all we had for a chaser was.... Mountain Dew. We decided to just mix it together. It was a terrible idea, that was a nasty cocktail and it didn't make Camp Rock anymore enjoyable. I do vaguely remember drunkenly yelling at the T.V during the beach concert scene, being irritated at the laziness of the production of this TV movie pointing out the fake backdrop that was the lake and surrounding areas. I don't remember if I had school the following day or if we did anything else that night It was an odd way of celebrating Prom. And it was a fun one too (in a rather masochist way).

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who hates those stands that only hold paper AND that people are always too pretty in films. The Coen Brothers are some rad directors because they always cast unconventional, normal looking actors. And as a trumpet player...the dispenser scene is horrifying.

the one time i had to use one of those god awful silver lightweight music stands all my music fell off and i pushed our performance back by the longest 30 seconds of my life. those stands are good for firewood and firewood only

I remember when this movie came out I had just outgrown Disney Channel movies. High School Musical was the peak for me, then this came out afterwards and I was just like, “Oh, this is actually cheesy as hell.” I think this and Jump In were the only later movies that I still have the CDs of.

I remember watching this movie when I was maybe 8 or 9. Overall, it was okay for kids, I guess. Its really good at drowning out the screams of the children when I remove their kidneys, but it's a pretty sucky movie nonetheless. It's definitely one of the movies in history...

One thing I've noticed about all of these movies made in this era of Disney is that all the characters have perfect hair. It's too good for all the situations that they are put in. Nobody wakes up in the morning that fresh let alone do they keep it that way all day.

There’s a movie where there is an actress is standing outside a cab. Her hair is being blown in the light breeze. Then she gets in the cab and the shot inside the cab has her with perfect hair and touched up makeup. Drawing a blank on the film name.

When I was in 4th grade I went to a Daddy - Daughter Dance with my step-Dad. I requested so many songs that the DJ gave me a burned Camp Rock CD, I have never seen the movie and I gave it to the randos at the boys and girls club

Dude, I remember being down the shore when this movie came out. Me and my sister watched it in the bedroom we shared in a rented beach house. I don’t remember caring for it much, even then, but there is just something nostalgic I have for it, like watching the first season of Phineas and Ferb again, which I discovered in a similar circumstance.
