Mid sheath entry in a Commscope A FOSC, GPON neighborhood build, Getting the VIPs online

3 ай бұрынToday we are working in Pocomoke on a GPON build going street by street. Getting some of our VIPs online mainly our first responders that everyone forgets about until shit hits the fan.
Starting out with a single fiber out of our 96 on a rural tap style unbalanced 1x5 splitter. We originally had these made for us from FS.com and I think now anyone can just buy them on the site. Very similar to how DOCSIS works with 1 line being tapped at different power levels. Or a tap 3 or tap 6 that sometimes you will see feeding your DOCSIS modems vs your TV.
It's the beginning of tent splicing season now so I am gearing up with a new haircut and I'm eyeing a new tent.

So the splitter allows the light to continue down the line so you can eventually get 32 or whatever is the full budget for each pon? Was also wondering if you have a monthly or yearly ROW fee for buried telco in MD or do you just have to maintain and respond to locates?

Not 100% for the answer on that i'm the nerd department only we pay all kind of fees to so many. I believe it's just maintain and responsible for locates.

Signal Fire they are under a bunch of other names but same product. Also use a fujikura 60S. Thanks for watching

could you explain why you choose the color fiber you choose and how you guys document it? Is there some standard? customers use xyz colors

17x30 perfect for a FOSC A but needs to be upgraded if you do a FOSC B
