This was sooo hard for both of them, and all the ignorant people below don't know what they're talking about. Bravo Midge and Heather. You did what you could with such a hard chore.

I'm a big heather fan, from the beginning, she isnreally off,or something wrong. If anything maybe she was nervous. I was shocked they even picked her honestly but the fact she was their I give her big props

Heather Nova sounded awkward in the beginning compared to Midge Ure. She didn't even reach that very high note at the end. It shows that this song does not fit her natural vocal range. At least she's not doing this opera genre anymore. I still like Sierra Boggess and Ramin Karimloo's version of this song much better.

A strange duet indeed! Heather Nova is a wonderful singer-songwriter and I would much rather listen to her singing her own songs with passion and soul than some tame Lloyd-Webber nonsense. To me, musicals are just 'showbiz' candy for the easily-pleased masses; hired hands singing other people's songs with little passion, soul or integrity. Opinions vary, of course, and millions lap it up without question.

I'm inclined to agree with you! ......for all its 'drama', Phantom doesn't have as much drama and theatrics as Ultravox's 'Vienna'. Now that IS what I call a dramatic song, and the video for it is something else. Such imagination. They pushed the bar up high in terms of the standards of a pop video. This performance of Phantom here is credible enough, but both singers are capable of so much more. Next you watch early Ultravox videos see how many times Midge uses his eyes to communicate with the camera/viewer. It's alot! He uses his eyes more than most pop singers, and almost to the level of a classical singer.
