This drive begins at the Midland Odessa Airport. It travels briefly on Interstate 20, then heads south on US 385, FM 305, and US 191 to Interstate 10. Along the way, watch for Crane and McCarney, Texas.
This video is the beginning of my drive from west Texas to Tampa, Florida -- and one of only two videos that isn't almost entirely on Interstate 10. Enjoy the entire ride!

Never done this drive before. But I do hope to some day. The actual name of the second town is really called MC Camey. Not MC Carney. I do like your video though.

I wish they didn't put a traffic signal at the corner of US 385 and Loop 338 south of Odessa. It's not there on google maps but the light signal is now there as of Feb 2013 when I drove to that intersection. I propose either take down the traffic signal at the intersection or lower the 75 mph speed limit and extend the current 55 mph or 70 mph speed limit from south of I-20 all the way down to Loop 338 and cut the 75 mph zone to south of Loop 338.

I think it's ridiculous to have a 75 mph limit only to come to a red light just almost three miles later. US 385 s of Odessa 55 mph from I-20 service rd. to roughly 1/4 mi. s of I-20 70 mph from roughly 1/4 mi. to 1/2 mi. s of I-20 (used to be 70 in all of Ector County) until 2012. 75 mph starting roughly 1/2 mi. south of I-20
