A reporter arrives in Savannah, Georgia to write a story on a local millionaire's Christmas party. It quickly turns into a murder trial when the millionaire is found to have shot one of the residents, seemingly in self-defense. Follow along with John as he tries to piece together the events of what happened during the night in question. Do you think he's innocent?
Based on the non-fiction book of the same name, by John Berendt.

This is such a classic movie. I’ve been to Savannah and what an extraordinary tribute to a city this movie is❤ It is now one of my favorite movies ever, adding to my collection along with To Kill a Mockingbird ❤

I loved visiting Savannah … I also visited the house, which was absolutely gorgeous. Read the book prior to the film.

Adore Savannah..... Practically all the actual characters in this movie have died. Sonny just a few months ago, in his 90's.

Should’ve kept the lady of a thousand songs (she had her own chapter) instead of creating a nonexistent love interest for Clint’s lackluster daughter to play. The Lady Chablis stole the movie. Rest in Peace.
