@@TheMechanicalKoopa , I think Midnight Resistance is one of the best Arcade game ever. When I was a teenager in the late 80es, Data East was my favorite video game company. Midnight Resistance was the first game I succeeded to finisih with only one credit (and even only one life) , I was realyy proud of this ^^

i don't even wanna guess how many quarters I went thru as a kid playing this game lol

@@TheMechanicalKoopa Could you please write the weapon's names ( guns and back packs) I speak portuguese and I can understand just some ones. *Fire *three way *shower *nitro *........ *........

@@andreseugling729 shower - nitro - homing missile - the sparkly thing is Super Power Up it doubles the damage your current weapon deals to enemies. sometimes triples it depending on the weapon you choose. by far fire is the best because it has multiple hit boxes associated with it so it deals massive damage and is perfect for the speed run. along with Nitro of course. but sadly the super power up will not boost your back pack weapons :(

@@TheMechanicalKoopa About the two machine guns?

I use a PS2 dual shock 2 controller. and I use the L1 and R1 buttons for the weapon rotation. using MAME and it's controller options for the weapon axis is such a great help with this controller layout, it makes things so much easier. I do want to build an arcade capture set up at some point. They make CRT to VGA adapters as well as CRT to RCA converters so I can route it to an RCA style capture device. I own the PCB arcade board for this game and hope I can still find rotary joysticks for it tho. they've been discontinued for a while now.

+The Mechanical Koopa Hi dude, This is Smokey from England. I hope you're gonna do another Hard Mode run, as I know you can kick the S**t out of that 16:39 time. Plus the Normal Mode run of 13:43, I see no reason why you couldn't beat that too. Huge well done on the Easy Mode in under 13mins. That was something else.

Yes I plan on besting both times on both Normal and Hard mode. But the key in any of those runs fir a great time save is to 1 cycle the battleship. I have done it on normal mode but might be near impossible in hard mode. I will try it tho. I plan on running that game some more tonight and see what I come up with. But can't even make a run without the weapon upgrade in the first level which grinding a bit for a chance at a decent run would be well worth the effort!

+The Mechanical Koopa Yeah definitely 1 cycle on that plus beginning with super power up is what's needed. I've watched your videos on this game numerous times, I would not say the battleship is impossible for you on Hard Mode at all. The 16:39 run had you with one turret left after the first cycle if I'm not mistaken. Like I said on my other note. Used to play other games at that video store which I am sure you have played. Wish I knew how to get them.
