Wow actual metal on Loudwire. It's been weeks. People, people, I don't care how much you like core. Instead of spinning this into a petty argument of "posers and elitists" over what I think is and isn't exactly metal (which is subjective keep in mind) go bother someone else. You can like it and think it is metal and I can do the opposite, at the end of the day does it really matter? No.

@@AndrewTate2Prison sounds like he cranks the gain up a bit. Dirty. but lively. Likely uses Darkglass distortion. Just enough bass to hold the mix together, enough mids to sounds lively wothout going into honk terrirtory, and enough treble to cut through. Sounds like his bass is Mid low heavy on settings. A tad bit muddy but not drifiting into sludge metal territory

Overdrive (lots of it), fresh strings, boost mids, especially high mids then boost treble to your taste, leave bass flat, then play either with a pick or if you really want fingerstyle, do Steve Harrisp/ Alex Webster thing, which is hitting strings hard so they bounce of the fretboard.
