Regarding the AMC tickets, I used to work for an independent theater chain. Tuesdays were the deadest days. Since our base ticket price was already only $6, we would offer half-priced snacks on Tuesdays just to get more old folks in. September and January are like the DEADEST months.

Why can't a killer just be psychotic? Why does he or she have to have some random mental disorder in order to be a crazy person? I'm sure that people who are bipolar don't do half, maybe even all, of the things that guy in the movie did. Only obsessive stalkers who are a bit on the crazy side do shit like that.
@coldplayhetaly
@coldplayhetaly 8 жыл бұрын
+Jewel White Psychosis is a mental disorder and psychotic people may not be violent. It's also an umbrella term that is easily skewed, like sociopaths are a type of psychotics and are given a bad name for being cold and unfeeling although they can't help it.
@kittycatz11
@kittycatz11 8 жыл бұрын
Jack Tracy I think that's why those who do kill, kill. Who wants to be isolated for not being able to understand or for never being able to love or feel?
@coldplayhetaly
@coldplayhetaly 8 жыл бұрын
Jewel White I think they can feel regular emotions, sociopaths are usually not violent at all, the problem with them is that they can't feel empathy. Most people only see stereotypes and don't bother with actually talking to people who have experienced such disorders. Like, society deems it fine to mock PTSD suffers for being wimps, but no one would go up to someone in a wheel chair and demand them to walk. There needs to be a movie that shows that the mentally ill are not all bad people out there.

This was predictable, but as far as stalker movies go it wasn't bad. I liked the main girl, she didn't just sit around, she went and got shit done. The guy playing the stalker was also very good, I remember him from Almost Human and really liked him in that show. As always, great review.

My sister put a restraining order on me once many years ago. And how you get served is very simple. They ask if your name is such and such. And you say yes. They say you've been served and hand you the papers. I was emotional obviously and ask what does this mean? And they said all the information is in the paperwork and their is a phone number I don't know anything about it I didn't have anything to do with creating the restraining order this is the extent of my job. What is horrible at the time I wanted to go into the national guard. And I couldn't with that restraining order. I could of used the time to prepare myself until the restraining order was released but I was too upset. My sister is bipolar schizophrenic and made up a story about how she was afraid of me.

I think the cop suggested to get a shotgun because in many states you can get one without a waiting period unlike a handgun. Which makes me think someone actually tried to put some thought into but made this years No Good Deed.

Actually, hilarious enough the idea of a warning shot and then shooting them not being murder is wrong. You need to fire to defend yourself because a warning shot is a threat. Rather than a defensive act. The real advice is put two to three rounds in them, call the police, tell them you fired in self defense.
@leviadragon99
@leviadragon99 9 жыл бұрын
And that advice is scarier than anything in this movie.
@Jirekianu
@Jirekianu 9 жыл бұрын
Well, obviously you don't just murder a guy. If someone's broken into your house their presence there is an implicit threat. You have no idea what their intentions are and any reasonable assumptions to their behavior are completely gone. They could just be there to steal something valuable. They could also be there to rape and then cannibalize you and anyone else living in the property. You don't know. Point is, you have every legal right to make sure they can do neither of those things. Barring a person just outright fleeing from you and you gunning them down, a home owner has many legal protections for firing on an intruder. Especially if it's a legal firearm. If your state has castle doctrine there's almost nothing that can be done against you for defending your property and yourself from an invader. Once again, barring you being a bloodthirsty asshole or there being evidence you shot them after they've surrendered.
@leviadragon99
@leviadragon99 9 жыл бұрын
Jirekianu Speaking as someone who doesn't live in America, you just make me glad I don't. Yes, someone in your home is a POTENTIAL threat, an unknown quantity... but you can't foresee any outcome to that situation other than acting as executioner? It would be different if you'd said up front: "point a gun at them, tell them to get the fuck out and take the shot if you absolutely have to" but you're making it sound like gunning them down dead is an inevitable outcome, a first, last, and only resort. A taser, Pepper Spray, a baseball bat, I don't even have any of those useful nonlethal ways of getting an intruder to sod off and yet I feel safe in my home... likely because I don't have to worry about a home-invader having a gun themselves, maybe if that weren't the case you wouldn't feel the need to be in this arms race against hypothetical home-invaders.. These legal protections for literally taking the shoot first and ask questions later approach you speak of only seem to exist in America, and that is again something I am deliriously grateful for, especially since you outright state those laws make the actions of a homeowner with a gun incredibly hard to challenge, I'd like to see what "evidence you shot them after they surrendered" looks like, because that sounds damnably hard to find.
@Kyman102
@Kyman102 8 жыл бұрын
+leviadragon99 Don't look up the "Stand Your Ground" laws if you want to have anything resembling faith in humanity. I will state that MOST Americans don't get all gung-ho about those laws, and I'm pretty sure 95% of Americans if they confront someone breaking in WILL brandish a weapon and say "Get the fuck out of my house!" before trying to take a shot.
@oren1305
@oren1305 4 жыл бұрын
In Canada, where most of us don't own guns, you can take a, 'warning shot', to tell the intruder that you have a gun, and to get out; it's not considered a threat without merits, unless you then shoot them after they decided to leave you alone.

Thanks guys. Every scenario I imagined, that you talked about, was in that movie. I have no intention of seeing a movie catering to blacks, period, and I'm black. It seems like those type of movies are typical and should've went straight to DVD. I HATE movies that dumb down good storylines or seem like a remake for blacks. WTF? So, there you go.
