That's not entirely true - we have an American football team here in Lublin, east Poland. It's quite popular (at least in the city) and some of my friends play on the team! But still - I know about it probably even less then about baseball or lacrosse. xD

Thanks for the video. The meta does feel a little stale, but that's also a relative thing. There are lots of games where the meta stays the same for months and months on end. It can be difficult to balance stability versus staleness, and freshness versus chaos when it comes to the meta in games.

16:00 I used to play a deck that had collector, morbius, swarm, modok and Wong. That was an insane power boost for the first two, with Miek that combo is going to be even more powerful because of his cost!

Annihilus took a worse hit not with the 7 to 6 power, but with the text change "power below zero." Debrii is worthless now unless you take a turn to play Hazmat/Yellowjacket on the rocks or they land in one of the negative power locations. But filling up your opponent's locations with 4 possible rocks, along with Selene, Hood, Void, and Green Goblin, then putting either Galactus on a full lane with negative power or a Man-Thing on a location with 2 rocks and a hood, it was so fun when it worked, but now take away those rocks and it really hurt Annihilus' win rate. Pre Nerf Annihilus was great and solid but thanks to the nerf, it feels like Junk needs more help with a new card when it just got the card it needed.

I completely agree with the Hela Lockjaw deck. I’ve been running it with skaar since I don’t have death. And it allows me to cycle some high cards early with lockjaw so I can play skaar before Hela for some extra points

20:12 the issue with "fun" cards is, if you're still struggling to hit infinite, you're not going to play "fun" cards, you only want to play good cards. Playing fun cards is a luxury people who already hit infinite have

Only if that holds value to you!! I did it 4 times in early months, now, can’t be bothered, not worth the grind, for a shitty card back, now 90 I hit every month, cuz 500 gold holds value. Less than 20% of the player base ever even sees infinite, if you’ve done it once, congrats. But I would not grind for it. I play for fun, so a game by definition is a luxury item!

I think there’s a LOT more casual players than people who watch these kinds of videos think. I purposely keep my rank low because in my experience the game gets less fun the higher I climb. I only play cards I find fun and I think I’m far from alone

@@daniellatkowsky6284 This is true, depending on what you like. Definitely gets mad steep up past 75. I stopped grinding for infinity ages ago. Hitting 90 for that sweet 500 gold, that’s a must, but I’m not loosing sleep or enjoyment out of a card back. Hell tue Avi for 80 is enough of a flex. But yea, if you enjoy playing bots and newbs, staying in silver is key! Edit Sorry, repeated info Didn’t realize this was the same thread!

Hey cozy! I’ve been watching you and Alex do the Snapchat’s for a while now and while I don’t comment on videos often, an idea came to me for a segment that could be interesting. I’d love to hear what you and Alex think are currently the most forgettable cards in the game are. Like those cards that you just always look over and essentially forget were ever even in the game, whether they are good cards, bad cards, whatever the case may be.

I think he looks epic. Cozy is right to think of swarm and modok. Gambit is more limited since he only discards one card. Hopefully Miek will change the discard meta twds more swarm less apoc/gambit

I will play any Discard cards. Try Ravona, KM, Gladiator, Legion. In your classic discard deck. Daken combo decks are fun too.

As far as the cache drop of cards… I’d probably argue that waiting for Grandmaster dropping after their break allows them to make a change quickly if the meta goes nuts. With herc they knew it wouldn’t be a meta shake up and the meta would hold as a medium feel and the ramp up could happen when they come back.

Last few days, I have been running the Discard around Collector, Morbius, with a little Gambit and MODOK. Miek would fit well in that deck. I have been doing ok with it, but it could be bots pumping up that number.

I will likely get Miek when hunting for Phoenix and Annihilus. Will try to stick him into discard with Wong, not big discard tho. Black Knight is a better 1 drop there

the chavez change killed discard for me. 100% of the time on turn 6 I get something that just kills my Dracula plan. Not having Modok on 5 is terrible, ending up with Dracula on the board and Modok, Apoc, and Swarm always happens, etc. This went from such a fun, consistent deck to one of the more frustrating experiences. Might as well play Negative decks if I want to count on RNG to get me good combos

you know what move card Move decks are missing, one that would be a power creep on Kraven, but one that would utilize cards like Werewolf and Miek better, a card that gains power for whenever a card moves, no matter where they land

I think the movement aspect of Miek is underrated. With discard it can be difficult to get into unplayable locations (i.e. Sanctum Sanctorum), apart from a lucky Wolverine regenaration, and Miek can provide that. You can also guarantee where he ends up if you've got plenty of Swarms to play, which you should if the deck works correctly

Honestly I think Annihulus at 5/5 would still be good. With Sentry Annihulus used to be 5/17 now he's just a 5/16 but he'd still be good as a 5/15. The card text change isn't that impactful since the good Annihulus decks only ran Hood and Sentry which is unaffected by the change. The text change only affected the junk decks which ran rocks which weren't good anyway.

wanna know why the meta is stale? the two most prominent decks are High Evo She-Naut and Thanos Lockjaw, both run now ongoing, or if they are, at most 1 yet, when I try to play something else, like, let's say a living tribunal deck, I get matched up to people running Enchantress the reason the meta is stale is, both the High Evo She-Naut deck and Thanos deck aren't vulnerable to as many tech cards. They also don't run tech cards themselves other than the occasional Shang Chi. The tech cards is what makes She-Naut and Thanos Lockjaw strong, because there isn't a lot of tech cards against them

I don’t think they thought that the cards would be strong like hercule and meik, they confirmed they wanted thsi meta to feel power heavy. I think they just released the cards how they are and didn’t expect them to do much

with the recent changes on kingpin, I dont see discard raise on the meta tbh lol.

I found out thru another SNAP creator, Zombiesgonomnom, that SD purposely mold the meta so it fits with the season theme. So for 'Planet Hulk' month, which focuses on big, powerful individuals, the meta is all about large, chonky boys putting up insane power. Personally id rather have the meta be more organic and have it find its own level (while SD just does their best to make cards balanced and not purposely make a few typrs of cards stronger to control the direction the meta takes). Ofc its SDs game so if they want to use OTAs, patches and balancing in general to artificially control the meta then thats their choice. However i think doing this also has other implecations that involve the economy and the effects on f2p since this artificially created meta SD makes can be centered around thr newest cards which many players wont be able to get.
