Thats a common problem with these Miele's I cleaned the tracks on the drum with a slvent along with the carbon brushes and now it works 100% it used to stop before the cloths were dry, Ive had to do it twice over 2 years, this video helped me understand how this sensor works along with the location.

You need to 1) Press the Power On/Off button which is located above the yellow door button and 2) Select a programme and 3) Push start.

The power button is not pushed in? To remove the lid remove the white caps on the side and unscrew the torx screws. T20
