Miele WKR 771 WPS - Small Heavy Load

I had a mix of towels and bedding to do but it wasn't as full as I expected (I left the grey articles out because the colour would have most definitely run!)
I have created a favourite "Towels" programme from the Cottons programme but with "WaterPlus" (deeper water level, especially in rinse) and the "AllergoWash" which adds a steam smoothing cycle after the main wash.
I'm impressed that the Miele spun pretty well with a small, heavy load. It seems to do one initial low speed spin to expel excess water and reduce the load weight, then stop, redistribute and carry on to 1600rpm. Don't miss Direct Drive at all..
I see my Miele has developed the classic metallic clang during initial unbalanced spin. I recall a KZfaqr filmed their Navitronic some years ago which made a similar noise - either springs or the metal outer tub I assume. I might get a Miele engineer to look at it anyhow.

First of all you water pressure is low, for noise you must check if you machine is completely balanced (front-back & left-right) with plummet tool and if noise continue then you must check the suspensions

Thanks for this! Indeed I had the suspension springs replaced - apparently the first versions did not have a plastic fitting so the springs made noise on the tub. Now replaced, it's spinning much better and no more horrible noise. It's an old house so sadly I can't do anything with the water pressure. However, I'm sure the manual said there's an error message for low water pressure which I've never seen, perhaps it's just within the the lower limit..

The suspension springs in my Miele make that twanging noise also when it spins. I felt this was not a great sound with such a expensive machine?????

sabistar44 I do Had to have a replacement washer as something went badly wrong with the drum but everything else went ok

Do you notice as well that when you use a really heavy full load, eg loads of towels/bath mats etc that when the re-circulation pump comes on there is a little burst of water from the jet then it turns to a dribble down the door because it doesn't use enough water!

Yes, but not only with heavy loads. With the Power Wash active the machine washes in hardly any water- instead it pumps water into the clothes, then spins the water out. So there is hardly any water sat in the drum... It works well, using much less water..

Yes but what I am saying is on the cottons cycle with a heavy load when the jet comes on water just trickles down the door rather than into the laundry. On quick power wash though it always fires into the middle of the laundry.

Heavy loads don’t work with powerwash! Look in the manual.

That doesn't sound too great for such an expensive machine. Never had that in my LG.

No, actually its because LG are engenered to a level Miele USED to be. See my vids if you dont believe me. Iv had 2 great Mieles one dreadfull miele with sevice to match and finally one amazing lg centum

@@miele939I agree LG 12 washer with centum and steam is amazing, but I am getting a Miele 9kg steam dryer when it gets delivered
