She is the reason the franks and van pels survived. She brought them food, and news about the world when they were in hiding for 25 months. And she risked her life everyday going and helping them, any ole' day the Gestapo could've come in and killed her or arrested her for even knowing where they were hiding let alone helping them survive. One of my role models this woman is. A true hero.

How many families dis she hide ? I thought it was 1 family of 4, 1 family of 3, 1 man, and a cat all living in the Annex. When the Gistapo found them, they were all shipped off to Labour camp and only 1 man survived out of the 8 people. Anne Frank died 7 months later in the camp onky 3 weeks before the liberation. Fun fact, Meip brought them a radio in a book.

Miep deserves better. She risked her life every day for 2 years, to help hide the Frank family, and buy them food and supplies even when it became hard. If she hadn’t saved the diary, we wouldn’t know her, or her story. We all owe Anne’s fame to her, and who knows what else she would’ve written? Anne didn’t deserve the fate she got, she deserved to grow up and fufill her dreams. Thank you to Miep for your risks and preserving the diary and thank you to Otto Frank for getting the diary published. May they all rest in peace.

I just got through watching a small light on Hulu. It’s amazing what she went through and the fact that I had never heard of Miep before is a shame and shows that we need our history to teach us more women that truly changed the fate of many people. Her husband Jan, he did so much as well. Acting against the nazis in a way that was possibly more dangerous than what Miep was doing. They were both so courageous and they deserve so much more credit than what they get. And we not only remember Anne, but also Margot, and Mrs.Frink and everyone else who was killed in those camps.

I removed my last comment which was basically telling nakedtween to get therapy, I think he knows he needs it. But this is about Miep who is someone who had a big heart and soul, who was brave, who acted in ways we would hope we would under the same conditions but who knows. There are allways haters, love is often harder, more courageous and definitely more inspiring.

This is just amazing... She had experienced this and was able to share to the world in a personal view and it must have been horrifying going through this and talking about it, but she did. She is a wonderful and strong woman and I hope she is resting in peace with the others. And I hope that even Hitler has served his time to get rid of his sins so he could go to heaven because Anne knew that everyone has good in them deep down inside their souls, even if they have done the worst things.

I cant imagin being in Meips shoes. Senoir year of high school ( I graduated in June of 2014) we had to read a non fiction book. I have known about Anna since I was old enough to understand and I cried so much. I started writing about my life when I was 11. I had a lot of challages in my life (I am only 20) but I am handicapped and alot of people would come up to me and ask what happened to me (I have a paralyzed arm and leg). Nor Anne and I went through the same challeges we both know how it feels to be a outcast.
