This week, we’re turning back the calendar five summers to one of the most acclaimed and in-demand events in Festival history - Soundtrack 7 - before bringing things right up to date with an exclusive in-conversation between FKA twigs, the brilliant artist behind it, and Hans Ulrich Obrist, Artistic Director of the Serpentine Galleries.
Back in July 2015, FKA twigs journeyed to Old Granada Studios to become MIF15’s artist in residence. Over ten days, twigs and her team created, choreographed and rehearsed seven autobiographical pieces for Festival audiences of no more than 20, who watched in rapt silence as these works-in-progress evolved in front of them.
