would have preferred the engine roar to the cheesy music
@thefunnyguyfromtheburgerki33345 жыл бұрын
0:21 engines roaring to full sounds like those engines about melt the plane behind it as the fishbed instantly rockets off the runway at supersonic speed. That sound legit gave me more chills than a Stuka siren. Even in enemy possession, that is a beautiful steel bird.

Don't mind the KZfaq peanut gallery Steve, the people criticizing your flying are just jealous. I would have preferred without music, just the beautiful sound of the engine and the swooshing of the air through the tiny holes of the air duct. Held that nose nice and long after touchdown, good work man! The 21 is very close to my heart! ;-) Please contact me if you ever happen to fly her into Cody, WY, I would love to come and meet you both.

Awesome video! I love the camera view so that you can see where the plane is going but also see what's going on in the cockpit. May I ask what video system you used in this? I love the Garmin radio stack amid the Russian green and all the Russian gauges. I installed a similar setup in a MiG-23UB earlier this year. I work on L-39s for a living so some of those gauges are very familiar. Surprising how similar the cockpits of the 21 and 23 are.

And one more thing. I am sure you know about that, but if not, you must not to continue inverted flight ot negative g longer than 20 sec. becouse of fuel system, which is not able to fill No.3 fuel tank in such conditions. :-) Have fun!! Great vids

Just so that you know, with most Soviet aircraft, the helmet is designed to be an integral part of the ejection system. So if I were to go thru the trouble of getting into a MiG, I would most defenitly go the extra few feet and get the helmet too :)

That would be a MiG-21U, or something to that affect. Not a common aircraft so I'm thinking 100K may be a decent price, depending on the condition of the airframe and engine.

mig 21 has an electronic system powered by an on board battery, thus it doesnt need ground power to spool up, the sabre most likely doesnt have an on board battery to start the engine

I would absolutely blame that on whoever maintains your jets, not the MiG-21. The MiG-21 is NOT known for its tendency to fall apart on it's own. It's known as an extremely durable and capable plane and I wouldn't be too ashamed to use them. As for investing in supermarkets instead of the military, typically supermarkets bring far more jobs and tax revenue to an area than newer fighters in the Air Force do. Once more people pay more taxes, then you can afford more fighters. Maybe not so dumb.
@CHECK6-96312 жыл бұрын
How many hours do you have in the MiG-21 to make that statement? Show me your video of you magically overcoming the known dig in issue in the 21!

My country air force still uses this plane. beacuse we have stupid politicians who think army is not the the thing to be invested in instead they invest in supermarkets rather then army or industry. Anyway this is a great airplane, when it doesn't have tendency to fall apart in mid flight while flying 780kph ( yeah that shit happend once during a traning in our airforce )

@@sammyboy9876 supposedly it makes the pilots less likely to lose consciousness during high-g maneuvers. All soviet cockpits are painted blue/teal, the metal itself doesn't look like that.

These aren't known as the most stable of aircraft; most good fighters aren't. The MiG-21 in my simulator even flies this way (sorry, that's the closest I will ever come to being a real fighter pilot although I do have some stick time in L-39s). So this roll was probably done as well as anyone else could do it in a MiG-21.

I know. If he really thinks we can't stand the sound of a jet engine in flight and must replace it with some mediocre soundtrack, at least he could use something original that's not on approximately 5,000 other KZfaq videos. Can you say "cliche"? The footage is great. The audio completely ruined it for me.
