The Migros Aare Cooperative is Migros' largest logistics platform. The returns logistics (RETLOG) building at Shoppyland Migros in Schönbühl has been extended by 800 square metres and raised by two storeys. The existing container sorting system is being replaced by a new system with conveyor technology for the automatic sorting and disposal of recyclable material fractions such as PET, cardboard, plastic packaging and re-fuse. In addition to the fully automatic conveying technology for pallets and containers, special products "container destacker", "tipping station" and "vision system" developed in-house were installed. Up to 7,000 reusable containers and recyclable material fractions are processed per day.
