Doesn't he behave exactly like a 'woke-ist' though? He goes around making very subjective, confrontational and often factually incorrect remarks and when somebody poses an opposing viewpoint or challenges him he plays the 'free speech' card. When the 'woke-ists' do the exact same thing he criticises our tolerant, free-speech society for giving them a platform. He hides behind the very same system he wants you to get angry at!

@@ItsNotRealLife They literally don't know anyone who thinks differently than them in their personal lives. That's why they're so naive about how the majority of people think. To them it seems like everyone is on the same woke page, that's why they're so shocked an appalled when anyone says something to the contrary. The attention seeking accusation is hilarious too. You mean when he responded to something an audience member said, with ZERO supporting evidence, and didn't believe it immediately and fully? Then when he calls her out, instead of offering some evidence like, "oh they called her this, or said 'x' about her, which has been a racist trope historically", she says his take is invalid solely because of the color of his skin. So it's attention seeking to defend yourself against blatant and open racism? Ok, sure...

Hundreds of young girls were assaulted in Rotherham because the police believed if they did anything there would be rioting in the streets against Pakistani people because of this woke culture. They knew who they were and what they were doing and did nothing because of their race. They were too scared of the case becoming racial because of woke lefties when it should have been about protecting innocent young vulnerable girls and upholding the law. What's the difference between 'white privilege' and 'majority privilege'? If I move to Japan, will I experience 'white privilege' or 'majority privilege', the latter of which may instead work for the benefit of the indigenous culture? All cultures aim to establish social norms and mores to benefit the majority, regardless of the dominant race or ethnicity. Indiscriminate use of the term 'white privilege' is merely perpetuating a sense of oppressor and oppressed, with the aim of driving a wedge between the two synthetically generated groups, not drawing them together. By most objective measures, the UK is one of the most tolerant societies in the world regarding racism, and yet we are pretending we are one of the worst, and that it is getting worse. Laurence was correct when he said that if immutable chacteristics (he is white and male) are cited as reasons for his not being able to express his opinion, then such an ideology is itself inherently oppressive and racist.

@GALMA 0 the wealthiest and most influential of all groups by far isn't white, it is another group that we aren't allowed to mention, and it is their intellectuals who are entirely responsible for developing the nation destroying concepts that led to wokeness.
@spracketskooch
@spracketskooch 4 жыл бұрын
@@benbow7 You talking about Jews? If you're going to be anti-Semitic then at the very least, don't be a coward about it. You wanna be more specific too, how did "the Jews" develop ideas that led to wokeness, and which ones specifically? You're way off btw, it was Marxist/Communist intellectuals, a lot of them French, who led to wokeness. They couldn't admit that communism was a bad idea after it failed so spectacularly in Soviet Russia and China. So they switched from pitting the poor against the rich, to pitting different identity groups against each other. They set it up so that whites were oppressing every other racial group, straights oppressing gays, men oppressing women, etc. What you are witnessing is basically Marxism in it's latest incarnation. So stop blaming "the Jews" and start educating yourself on history, because right now you're worse than the wokesters, because at least there's a small kernel of truth in what they say.

Why was he 'seeking attention' and the woman in the audience wasn't? Why was the brown university lecturer correct in her view and the other brown woman who accused Meghan of playing the race card wasn't and has been conveniently ignored? The problem with dividing views based on the race/sex etc. of the holder is that there is nothing like uniformity among people of the same skin colour, genitals etc. Some of us try to seek the truth regardless of our immutable characteristics.

You only need to look at public opinion (comments against the other clips on KZfaq) to conclude who was right and wrong in the Laurence Fox situation. Only one person brought race and sex into the conversation, and that was the audience member. Race and sex wasn't relevant to pointed being debated at all.

"woke, snowflake..." has nothing to do with being compassionate etc. Compassion requires wisdom. By demonstration, being "woke" is an absence of wisdom.

Compassion also requires strength and character. If you're not strong enough to hold up your own weight, there's no way you can lift someone else up. And it requires character in the sense that compassion isn't selective, you must be willing to be compassionate to your enemy as well as your friend.

the irony is she thinks he has never experienced racism, while she told him on national tv to "shut your mouth, your skin is white you dont get to have an opinion". I guaranteed she has never experienced such casual and unapologetic racism that even approaches what she did to him. at no point in my lifetime has it ever been acceptable to tell someone to shut their mouth because of their skin colour, and the fact she did it so casually on tv without any fear or hesitation is just mindblowing. name me something else on tv that has come even close to that level of racism
