Jeff Andrews - monumentally under appreciated and nowhere near as widely known or recognised as he should have been. A sad loss now he is no longer with us. As someone said earlier, taken well before his time. RIP

Damn Jeff Andrews was a great soloist. Incredible phrasing and clean as sh-t. I love seeing this guy in his element with Mike. Thanks for posting.

Funny how Mike carved out his own take on fusion. Totally original, unique, and intense. I can identify him in 3 notes or less. His sound is so his own. He did “ One Liners “ on his own without Bob Berg, and it worked out fine. More than fine.

Wow! This was a concert performed in 1996, 25 years ago and I am completely in awe of these 3 guys. God truly blessed each one of them with extraordinary talent! I am saddened that Jeff Andrews has passed on may he rest in peace.

Mike Stern: The Best in the world

Saw this same band two years earlier in Kalott Jazz, Tornio, Finland. Was mindblowing... I remember Weckl's drums were late due to being left in the previous place which was Norway or Denmark but his kit finally arrived, like 4 hours late and they put it together in front of tent full of people. Then they played for 2½ hours.

I haven't seen Jeff Andrews for a long time. And, I am a big Dave Weckl fan. I think I'm going to enjoy this very much. Holy crap, I just found out that Jeff Andrews passed away recently. Not even 60 years old. Very sad. Many people are gone way before their time.

Truly an enjoyable concert - first class musicians and musicality.

I have watched and listened to this concert countless times. It's just THAT good. I wish there was an album recorded for this concert.

I've been there, seated on the bass player's side of the audience - like i always do. I didn't pay much attention on Jeff Andrews at this point but I was very impressed, wondering what he was doing all the time.

A great guitar trio reminds me of the Trio Of Doom... McLaughlyn, Tony Williams and Pastorious

Saw these guys live: Fantastic improvisation! Some of the best live interplay I've ever seen/experienced. And laugh out loud enjoyable!

Back when Dave had that gorgeous green Yamaha set. He was my favorite before then and still is. I was lucky enough to catch his clinic in Denver in 95 and 96. Such a rare thing nowadays unfortunately.

Such a great band. Saw them this lineup also with Ben Perowsky on drums. Equally fantastic. Mike usually plays with a horn player but love it when he just fronts a trio as well.

I saw the trio in Milan, Italy, maybe in 95, on the occasion of the tour organized by Yamaha, when Stern had just received his Signature Guitar ..... they were devastating ...

Some where birds are nesting, lions are laying around under a shaded tree, wolves are howling at the moon 🌙, big business men are scheming while chewing on their expensive cigars, butterflies are dreaming about can they get more time out of their short lives and musician are chilling 😎 out in their head about what it would be like playing with Stern , Andrew, and Weckle. Okay Man quite tripping.
