Mike Tramp is one of the really good and honest guys in rock. The guy has nothing left to prove, sold millions of albums, decades worth of worldwide success, but is still very humble and has not forgotten where he came from or his hard work ethic. A lot of people could learn a few things from this interview.

Seriously, how do you not love the passion? Anyone watching this please take time to listen to his solo stuff. He still has amazing vocals. Even then he was never about just the money. He loves music.

For every Mike Tramp and Vito out there there were thousands of us who never made it.... I am still playing in my basement Van Halen solos just waiting for Mike to come and pull me out. In the mean time did the bar tours with different folks and different bands, have several kids, grew old, work in IT yadda yadda.... thank god I still have my long hair and feels good when someone in a very rare instant says "you look like a rock star" Thank You Mike for all you have done. I have lived my dreams through your eyes. You are Awesome!!!!! Vito is amazing, Love playing old White Lion!!!! By the way our band was playing Wait, Hungry, All burn in hell

I am from the very north edge of Minneapolis and it's so cool to know that the my home played a part in White Lions success. I was a teen ager and a big fan of White Lion back then. Missing the old days is an under statement.

I remember Mike saying he was living healthy in the 1980s and stayed away from the drug and alcohol abuse that so many fell into. That is the reason he’s looking so well. So many 80’s stars have aged badly but Mike Tramp looks absolutely wonderful!

This is a great interview and I could listen to him for days as stories like this are stuff you can't get anywhere besides the artist themselves. Everything in his life lined up perfectly and the rest is history.

This is a very satisfying interview! To hear how it all started - through Mike Tramp's memory is just really cool. They were a love 'em or hate 'em kind of band for sure, but for me they will always be one of my favorite bands from that era! Mike Tramp with Vitto Bratta was a force to be reckoned with!

Hi Denise! Maybe it's a geographical thing. I'm from North Carolina and used to play in hair metal bands. Unfortunately, every time I would suggest adding a White Lion song to our set lists, no one ever wanted to. I could NOT understand why, when I loved White Lion so much!!!

Hi Brandon. Back in the '80's, I played in a hair metal band called "Infinity" (we named ourselves after the Journey album of the same name because our drummer loved them and their drummer, Steve Smith, so much!). We were based out of Winston Salem, NC, and our agency was Hit Attractions out of Charlotte. We played regionally from West Virginia down to Alabama. Fun times!! Sometimes ALL of us would share a single hotel room to save money - this would include our sound and light guys and our female singer (she was usually a good sport about it though, and especially after we added a female keyboard player she was a little more at ease with it. hahaha) BTW, she and the drummer ended up getting engaged! After that band I played in Country bands, one of which was "Del Reno" and we recorded a CD in Nashville which was produced by Dean Sams (Lone Star's Keyboard player). We opened for a lot of well known artists and had lots of great jobs and good times. These days I am getting back into rock and have a trio rock band started and we have learned almost enough songs to go out and do some jobs. We have several original songs that are, in my opinion, pretty good. Who knows... we'll see. But thanks. How 'bout you?

Amazing. So interesting to listen to this, to Mike and how it unfolded. Now 48, I grew up on this music and many, many other amazing rock bands through the 80s and 90s until grunge ruined everything. It is so refreshing though now to still have all this music to look back on and to see these artistes still belting out the tunes. Loved Pride and Mane Attraction and many others in between and since. What a journey it must have been to be in these bands at that time. Thank you so much for the music
