With all the hype surrounding Trout's 2011 Topps Update RC right now, figured I'd make a video showing what cards investors or collectors on a budget might want to be on the lookout for right now

I'm stockpiling all Trout cards. Parallel, refractor etc. If MJ cards are indication of future prices of a sport Goat, 15 yrs from now. Trout cards will have premium. A pink refractor sells well over $100 in PSA 10. What's that card value when Trout in HOF.

I'm a huge Trout collector and actually just picked up his Update rookie finally. One thing though is that the NBA is a more global game. The reason why a 2nd year Doncic card can sell higher then a Trout is because you have way more collectors now buying up basketball cards. I do think there will be a demand for his 2nd and 3rd year cards when he's closer to retirement, but being that baseball is more of an American sport it just wont ever be at the level the NBA cards have gotten to now. So as I'm picking up Trouts Bowman cards I'm grabbing even more Lebrons, Doncics, Tatums and Trae Youngs because of how the markets are trending towards the future. I plan on keeping my Trouts, but NBA cards is where the money is gonna be and this is coming from a Baseball fan for life!

Yeah that’s a very fair point. I too am originally a huge baseball fan and have been making an effort to get more money invested in basketball right now

Yeah your totally right I bought a green sparkle 2013 leaders cards with 3 future HOFers with Cabrera Trout and Beltre. 15 dollars shipped

You forgot about the 2013 prison... The red the green and of course the silver ... course you can't get those anywhere but they're still great cards

i have a 2012 al roy trout card that is reflective green. is this a special card or fairly common?

I’m assuming you mean the paper ones? I think they’re called an emerald or something, but they’re a parallel so rarer than base but not super rare. I remember pulling them back in the day and having a decent amount (10-30). I’d imagine you would pull a strong premium over the base though, despite it not being insanely rare
