I met Mike on a plane ppl were walking past him boarding. I couldn't help take aisle seat across him with his permission and just talk life. This was 9 years ago heading to Vegas. Asked all the things he's never done in life like snowboard, surf, skydive, ice skating, hockey, rugby a large list. I got an email from him to invite him snowboarding but it was responded by a pr person that denied contacting Mike. He seemed pumped to do those things. Crazy to know such a personality and life opportunity has never done so many things that are adrenaline rushes. Hes a bit of an adrenaline fiend and was pumped. But hey I got a fist bump a hand shake and handshake with a one sided chest bump hug. His palms are like shaking hands with stone.

@@wcadds80 yea I legit just saw him and stepped aside and I went. You're Mike tyson and everyone is acting like you arnt the most famous man in the world. How are you Mike? How has life been the last few years for you, we don't get much in the paparazzi for Mike tyson anymore, I've been curious and concerned but you look great mate. He just kind of stared for a second a second with those eyes that felt like my entire life was flashing lol. Hes known to not be too keen on ppl bugging him. But he goes yea man life's fine. I'm like no Mike seriously how are you, how's life with lakiha? He sort of swelled up and gave me a smirk and he's like what a strange question, life's been great, she's wonderful to have by my side shes woken me to kindness and sincerity and I've learned to tame the beast within and actually trust again. It was a bit more profound and wisdom deep than that but thats about the summary of what he said back and I asked him if it'd be okay if I took an empty seat around him so I could hear more. He talked about his wife and kids for probably a half hour of the flight. We all dedicate his new persona on a moment of his own enlightening but in reality its his wife and his kids we can all thank for this gentle giant we have watched grow. She really moved a mountain and carved her own mount Rushmore into his soul.

Yes, Tyson, Iron Mike, allot of depth and multidimensional man, and he always had this disposition and emotional intelligence; Tyson excelled at any goal (at that time), he just came to the point that he recognized that there were other ways to elevate oneself, and other's that were lucrative, it wasn't the option available when he was a juvenile delinquent held at the Triton juvenile detention center and Irish Bobby Stewart, a correctional counselor saw talent in Tyson's amateur boxing, 190 pound twelve year old, built like a refrigerator of muscle, Stewart was once a professional boxer, a Cus D'Amato student [welterweight] , Stewart wanted Cus to check out Tyson, Stewart taught him everything he could. Cus D'Amato knew that Mike was "the one" the very day that he meet him, but that really was [the] only option foreseeable for a better life at that time.

@@rasheedaldeen1158 - Facts???? Rasheed… I assume you saw his devastating loss at the hands of Lewis? Mike should’ve humbled himself to the point of retirement immediately after that fight. He wasn’t even close to being his former self. Speed grossly diminished. He was grossly overweight which means he wasn’t training or couldn’t train the way he did years earlier. Time catches up to all of us regardless what we do for a living and Mike Tyson was completely spent at that point. He knew that. Like many others they go on too long. Marvin Hagler is one of the very few who knew when to call it quits.
