Here's the fly on the wall overview of the race weekend event of me racing the CB500 loaner at Donington in the last round of the No Limits Championship. The post crash repairs are a bit mechanically harsh, so if you don't like the sight of a hammer being wielded, fast forward over that bit. Cheers to Mariusz for his help all weekend.

Thats an interesting wheel nut tool Spike? You should check out these things called sockets, they wrap round the whole nut and prevent slippage and torn knuckles. When do we see the race footage? Didn't see the cake either?

Yes, I hear what your saying, however, their not pipe grips I'm using but a pair of Knipex 33814 250mm wrench, bit of a mouthful but changed my life, brilliant tool really expands you tool range particularly if you can only carry a small range of tools on a trip etc.

Any recommendations on tyre pressures? If you were using the Dunlop sportsmart TT

I was using Bridgestone's so not sure I can help. I think I put in 30 front and rear.

Any idea how the aftermarket tacho is wired in? Using original wiring that would go to oem tacho? Have bought the same aftermarket jobbie for our Freetech 2006 CBR125R, got power to it but the needle won't budge.... . Similar era Honda... . Cheers..

Sorry, I have no idea. We reworked the kill/one-off switch but didn't look at anything else. Once you have worked out where the earth/ground wire is there should be a power wire and signal wire. I can't see too many problems.
