To continue my career of having raced something competitively each season for the last 41 years I entered a 'loaner' with No Limits Racing to have a run round at Donington in the CB500 class - not quite what I was expecting in the first race, but hey ho, expect the unexpected.

That was highly entertaining, and I admire the levels of commitment, I hope I can aspire to those levels as I get older......shame about the outcome, but you'd show up many a rider even on a cb500, can clearly see your racing experience. Top stuff:)

I would have been good to finish the first race, but it's going to happen when you have to use slipstream to maximise the overtaking opportunities.

Everyone was fixed up and back out for race 2 next day.

I could see when something unexpected happens out of the rider's control on that part of the track that could be the result. I wouldn't fault any of the riders.

It happens when you're riding so close, and the evenly matched, low power of these bikes means that slipstreaming is such an important part of being able to overtake.

No, it was the on/off kill switch seemed to be dodgy. Bloody thing fired up when we brought it back to the paddock. Swapped it for a R6 light switch.

To be honest any who is cheating sticks out like a sore thumb, the vast majority of the field are more or less the same.
