Excellent review and demo. The pole saw looks to be very light and easy to use. The trees do look better pruned. Thanks for sharing Mike!

if i normally prune under 18ft, but occasionally need to add the third pole, how can i extend the rope 6 more feet? I dont really want to drag a long rope around 95% that i dont need the last extension. the pull rope it came with is about 12ft i think. should i tie a loop at the end and use two sewn climbing slings, or just get a 10ft section of pull rope and tie it on temporarily?

I have done the temporary rope before try it

I daisy chain/braid my pull rope up to the proper length for using just the one stick. Once you untie the one half hitch/granny knot, u can pull the rope and the whole knot will come undone. I like doing this, because when it's braided/daisy chained. It gives you a much more comfortable grip to pull on. If u need to pull on Any point of it. Some people tie knots in the rope to help grip the rope. But the daisy chain/braid is better because you can pull on any point of it comfortably. When I do each loop while braiding it back up, I keep them very small. It looks nicer and you'll love the outcome. I promise! This is coming from a Line Clearance Arborist of over a decade of service. So we used these often, more times then not. Used to pull hangers from a trim job.
