Hey Mike A Classical Arabic pro tip: you don't say "ana ismi" when you want to introduce yourself, rather you choose only one of them like this: - Ana Mike or - Ismi Mike "ana ismi Mike" is a transliteration of: "my name is Mike", and sounds very clunky and foreign. Have a nice week.

by the way you were correct when you said misr , and the Egyptian guy said Masr in the local language but misr is the original arabic which is perfect (Y) you are doing great keep it up

We pronounce مِصر with Kasra under letter 'م' in Standard Arabic, but in our Colloquial the pronunciation starts with Fatha ; مَصر 🙈

Something weird about Egyptian accent. Like I am Egyptian but I speak slower and my accent is little bit heavier than “Mustafa” the Egyptian at the tube. I am not sure it’s depending on the origin of each Egyptian or what. Even the way he pronounces AlQahera(Cairo) like the letter Q sounds like K.

I think Egyptian accent is pretty hard to understand and imitate when it's compared to other Arabic accents that I've heard. I wish to be able to follow Hamza Namira's lyrics while he sings lol

الطريقة فى الكلام مختلفة يعنى احنا المصريين بنتكلم بطريقتين الطريقة اللى حضرتك بتتعلمها هى اللغة العربية الفصحة اما الطريقة اللى احنا بنستخدما هى العامية بمعنى مثلاً لو قلنا بتعمل ايه دى اللغة العامية اللى احنا بنستخدما اما باللغة العربية الفصحة هى ماذا تفعل ولو قولنا اسمك ايه زى ما فى الفيديو فا هى ما هو اسمك او ما اسمك
