Howdy, y'all! My name is Mike and I absolutely love scavenging for free stuff, random treasures, lost valuables and other interesting artifacts. I mainly rock the dumpster diving scene but can be found digging through trash curbside as well as scavenging the river bottoms for lost treasures in the summer months. Join me on my epic voyages!

I worked at a construction site for many years and while Mike was throwing insulation, I was all scared😂not only is it not possible to talk there, but also to breathe!

If you take baby powder with you, apply it when you're around insulation and it closes off your pores. You won't get itchy anymore. I used it for around 25 years.

Mike, my husband suggested taking the Panduit to Home Depot or Lowes and selling it to contractors for a lower price. He said they used it constantly for installations.

@@JB-zr2cq lmao i did construction with my dad for 2 years bucko it was apart of our citys health code to wear masks whilst putting in fiber glass insulation. this aint me being wimpy its just facts that fiber glass dust can be harmful to breath in.

keep up the great vids Mike! I stopped by a pile of free stuff the other day and got to talking with the homeowner, who then hooked me up with like a $1000 worth of tools and half my truck bed full of oak fire wood, it was awesome!!!

Broken or antiquated is the likely reasons. Cheaper to buy new under warranty that find someone who may or may not be able to repair said items and they be reliable.

Mike, you have got to establish a “MTS” eBay store for your findings... if that wire wrap is going for $500 per spool, you ought to be able to get $200-300 per spool. You could do the same with motors and used cameras. Wishing you another safe week. Peace brother

Love finding wire licks like that. The one thing i always wonder when tossing around a dumpster like that, is what the guys think the next day when they start throwing more away & realise the dumpster has been emptied lmao. Last night from one dumpster i filled the truck & emptied the roll off. I'll hit it again tonite to see if more came out. 100 bucks for an hours work & a little more to unload & get paid. I'll take that anytime. ty for taking us along Mike

I am a newer fan to your channel, and love your videos. I'm a nurse, and probably have a different angle when watching them, than the awesome males, here. I'm often concerned about those particles you breath in, and I support you wearing a proper mask. I don't want you to be harmed. Mike, you are a hard working man! I so admire your work ethic. I do want to urge you to include your particulate mask in your safety equipment arsenal. You are a young, strong healthy guy and you want to stay that way! You don't want to end up with some kind of pulmonary problem from inhaling all that dust and fiber from the dumpsters. I would love to know what you made on that haul to the scrap yard and on those conduits spools. I'm from Arkansas and i remember back in the days when i was young and my dad would go scraping and brought home the money it was nice, but he had nothing on you, you are the KING.

Great videos as always. Why don't you leave a business card if possible at the location where you have been picking up the hot water heaters? This way you may have them call you, when they have a load. This way you may acquire some other metals. This used to help me with alot of business.

I’ve heard that baby powder helps with the fiberglass itches! You can keep a little bottle in the truck. I hope you can sell those rolls for a nice profit! The workers are like it’s magic we put out hot water heaters and they magically disappear!!

Holy cow!! Use your hook on the stick to pull that insulation to the side. Or one of the plastic or metal pipes to do the same. Your poor arms will thank you. Nice score! 💕🌵

Any time you come across installation you use baking soda and just enough water to make a paste and rub it on let it sit til dry. Then you can dry brush it off. It helps with the itchy.😊 No problem. Glad to help.

The Panduit fiber wrap is what we used in the 80's and 90's to protect fiber jumpers that weren't laid into fiber guide. Now days we almost exclusively use split loom/ADC Flexible Tubing.

I agree with you... You are saving them money. Where I used to work, there was a charge for the dumpster.... There was an extra charge if it was filled even 1 inch over the top, in any spot.... so, by pulling out material, you are helping them.... And there was an extra charge if it was over a certain weight.... So you are helping them there, by pulling heavy metal weight out..... You actually are saving them money....

Hey Mike. I have been scrapping for decades and I must admit you not moving stuff out of the way often drives me crazy. Its so often the best if not the only way to get to the goods so was glad to see you do it. Also when dealing with fiberglass (insulation) soon as you get home take a cold shower as cold as you can stand ,it closes the pores and the fiber can wash off you. Mike nice haul of wire to start your day. That wire wrap can be expensive. That might been in a server room to bundle cables or in a transmitter room for cables. Mike please protect your lungs and eyes. Always good to have keep masks with you and protected Eyewear. Walmart by me has face masks as you enter the store. I keep a few masks with me all the time. Mike have a good weekend to you and your family and your pups.

A great way to combat the itchies from fibreglass is to actually cover the itchy areas in shaving foam! The gel stuff works the best. It collects all the small particles better than soap, and won't cause irritation. Nice and gentle, like 👍 Lather and rinse.

Another great vid Mike. I keep thinking about you telling the wife about you big scores like that when you get home. I can see her fixing lasagna and lighting the candles on the dinner table.

I think Mike does most of the cooking. 😊He frequently comments about needing to get home to make dinner. He does a good job house cleaning too. He posted a video recently with him washing dishes and the dog watching him. 👍😁 He's a great guy.
