Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference:
0:00 Introduction
1. 2:49 What led to the “charismatic conundrum” of 2020 where large numbers of false prophecies were being given by seemingly well-respected & well-known teachers online?
2. 9:13 I'm writing a book with a Native American friend and I want to help him come to Christ. He is respectful of Christianity, but terrible things have been done to him and his family by people professing to be Christians (his aunt was beaten to death by a Catholic nun just to prove she had the authority). I want to share the Gospel with him in a way that is accurate, but at the same time, sensitive to what his people have endured. Any advice?
3. 13:19 Matthew 19: 12 talks about eunuchs from birth. Does that include intersex people? It seems to advise that eunuchs should not marry and should just serve God. Is that right?
4. 20:52 Is Ruth 4:5-6 typologically connected with Galatians 3: 23-25, where Boaz replaces the guardian-redeemer to redeem Ruth, Christ takes the place of the law to redeem the Church?
5. 25:08 I have a Japanese friend who believes in a false Japanese religion, mainly because when she sprained her ankle, her mom prayed over it and the Dr. said it was healed. How can I effectively share that her religion is false, after she experienced this convincing miracle?
6. 29:39 Can you please comment on the Book of Life and how one is written into it or blotted out from it?
7. 32:15 Is there biblical basis for a Christian being able to “release healing” into the atmosphere? I hear this quite a bit at my church, and I’m uneasy with it for some reason.
8. 36:26 What is the leaven of Herod? It seemed Herod was intrigued by John, even though John was against his unlawful marriage, and Herod did what people thought instead of God's law.
9. 39:44 As a youth leader, my students share these New Age things they learn to do on TikTok, and 1 of them sounds like Astral Projection. How do we talk about this with them without sounding crazy?
10. 41:52 Why should we care about false doctrine/teaching like the prosperity gospel or the word of faith movement? Does believing in such compromise one’s salvation? If not, why care at all?
11. 44:35 In Romans 8: 34, why is Jesus still interceding for the elect since they are already saved?
12. 47:44 Do you believe Solomon was saved seeing as he died worshiping false gods?
13. 48:55 I preach with a stutter, and sometimes it can be very discouraging! I know God uses it still, but do you have any advice for me, both practical and biblical? It tends to be worse when I'm nervous or tense.
14. 52:18 If you could visit any one moment in both the Old and New Testaments, what would it be, and how do you know when you’re ready to disciple others?
15. 54:58 Could you clarify the difference between forgiveness and salvation?
16. 56:27 How would someone test a prophecy until it had or haven't come to pass? Including you for all of the Trump prophecies?
17. 58:42 I constantly sin. I have prayed, struggled, and fought to stay on the narrow path. I can't seem to stop sinning. The guilt is still there but there is no change. Can a heart be too cold to change?
18. 1:02:48 In Hosea, God sends a message through Hosea and the names of his children. His family has to live with their children named things like "not loved" (Hosea 1:6). Does Hosea deserve this?! Is this a type of Christ, bearing others’ burdens? Is there more beyond the simple meaning of "Your child will be given a horrible name to get the attention of Israel"?
19. 1:05:40 What to do when tempted with lust online? I watch it to deal with stress & struggled to stop this week without it. I repent & believe the gospel, but I feel like my house is built on sand.
20. 1:08:25 I'm a biblical studies major with an end goal of being an online youth pastor. Do you have any advice about interpreting the Scriptures faithfully for the next generation?

Love Pastor Mike but he continues to mock and use as an example the people who claimed to have a prophesy and / or word from the Lord about the election. Many were fakes Im sure. Many repented. Others are steadfast and have doubled down still. We dont know what the Lord has in store. And if some major event or exposed corruption happened to lead to the prophesy coming to pass this year, next year, whenever during this term, then many of those folks would be vindicated. We are so accustomed to the world, it's dates, it's institutions, it's processes, that we have very low expectations for the Lord and how he can turn it all upside down. I dont care about the election. I want to see a major, undeniable move of the Lord to wake everyone up from their sense of control, self reliance, entitlement and most of all - smugness.

Wow. You’ve corrupted the gospel on Solomon. He was saved by grace alone by faith alone in the God of Israel alone plus nothing. Cmon man
@mikefaumuina3275
@mikefaumuina3275 3 жыл бұрын
@J salvation is by grace alone thru faith alone in Christ alone plus nothing. That is our requirement today for eternal life. I asked Chuck smith in 1985 if Solomon went to heaven, he told me “the Bible doesn’t say.” He also misunderstood how one was saved prior to the cross. OT Saints were not saved by looking forward to the cross because it was not revealed that the Seed of the woman would die for sin until Isaiah prophesied that. Salvation has always been by grace thru faith but the content of faith changed throughout human history just as the laws of God changed throughout human history as well. The laws from God are merely how we are to live out our born again existence in this life and are not a means of salvation. In Solomon’s day he had to believe two things in order to be regenerated aka born again. First he had to believe God was one and second that God alone saves. This is what David meant by psalm 32:1. Gentiles had to believe that God alone saved and that the God of Israel was the one God. Solomon was born again and was given eternal life the moment he believed. The very second he believed. We as Christians believe three things in order for us to receive eternal life, Christ died, was buried, and rose again as our propitiation. If we change that we corrupt the gospel. Example, by using a sinners prayer we corrupt the simple message of believing the gospel because a person is saved the moment he believes and not because he said the sinners prayer. A person believes the gospel before he walks down the isle, he confesses in his heart Christ as lord before he does so corporately. This becomes problematic because of our sin nature. A person can be trusting that he said a prayer or walked down the isle and not trust in the work of the cross for salvation. In brother Mike’s analysis he has corrupted what Solomon’s salvation was based in - the grace of God. I’m going to guess that Mike believes in eternal security which is a biblical truth. That was something Chuck Smith struggled with. Solomon could not lose his eternal life by sinning because he was given eternal life by grace and grace cannot be a reward for good behavior. Mike has some good content, this is a weakness. I do not pray a sinners prayer when leading someone to the Lord. I tell them that Christ was lifted up in a cross just as Moses lifted the serpent in the wilderness, and that it was the look of faith and the object of salvation that God provided that saves and that if he or she believes that message, they already have eternal life. Then I pray together for them that they will continue on in their quest for spiritual maturity. No hard feelings Mike, but you have to sharpen this up! We are truly living in the last days of the age.

I believe people can struggle a lot with sin when they try to establish their own righteousness which in fact is selfish. If we aren't confident in our righteousness through faith in Jesus, we will have difficulty resisting sin. Sin should be our enemy. Obedience should be based on faith and love, not fear of punishment.

Re: constant sinning this might seem strange, but Romans 1:21 was a glass of cold water for me. It is talking about people "given over" to sin as a) not honoring God as God, b) or giving thanks to Him. Now I am not accusing anyone of anything, just sharing that since I read that I have been praying to be released from my sin, yes, but more a) asking that God would help me by the help of His Holy Spirit to honor Him as God and b) giving thanks to him as much as possible! Praying scripture helps think of all the things to be thankful for! 😊

Unless one grew up in and went through the verse by verse , reverent , respect & awe of Gods' power teaching of 60+ years ago that I did , I doubt somewhat that many who have not experienced the contrast in the teaching then , compared to the majority of todays pulpits and entire movements { Progressive Christianity in particular } that we see at present .. I truly hope everyone can see , hear , and adsorb the heart & wisdom of the teaching Pastor Mike offers us , who obviously puts in long hours and effort to provide solid biblical teaching , and who attaches no bells & whistles to his content , but , in my opinion has brought back the holiness and truth in the word of God .. I for one , wish to express my gratitude to Mike for giving me a home to learn in again , and at my age { not alot of years left } , this is an absolute gift .. P.S. - Pastor Mike , you are J Vernon McGee without a hillbilly accent , hahaha ,, and for those who know not of Dr McGee , that is the biggest compliment I can give Mike ... Thank You once again Pastor for all your effort to do what you do so well ... Sincerely ,, your brother , Jeff Warren

You're quickly becoming one of my favorite you tubers when it comes to Christian topics. You have a very genuine humble vibe which I really like. When it comes to habitual sin, it can be very encouraging to remember you're not alone in struggling with aspects with yourself that you hate and want to stop. Paul's comments in romans about "What I want to do, that I don't do, and I don't want to do, that I practice" are one of my favorite in the entire new testament. Its always a source of comfort that someone like Paul who was so on fire for God constantly struggled with his nature.

Excellent point on the uncontrollable sin. I was sinning willfully. My temptation is just that it does not control me. What helped we realizing that Jesus died on the cross so I could be free from sin. The person who commented is still a slave to sin and his flesh, we cannot have two masters. One big thing that helped me was realizing that something innocent to me was absolutely evil, it affected my family and everyone else that was apart of it in a negative way. If it is porn then every time you watch it you are giving the production companies more money to create sex trafficking and then feed into young children. Our sin is not just about us it destroys us and everyone around us.

It's very interesting to hear you say that not all charismatics are like the false prophets. I grew up (from the age of 13-so about 24 years of my life) in the charismatic movement. My husband and I left the charismatic movement two years ago in Feb. Much of the reason that we left was due to major Word of Faith/NAR influences in every church we'd ever been in. All the people I knew were major of fans of all the "famous" mega ministry/mega churches. We constantly heard about a prophesy from this church or that church, none of which our Pastor had ever met. We still believe that "Jesus is the Same Yesterday, today, and forever," we just don't necessarily align ourselves with all that we've seen anymore and have decided to search the Bible for ourselves.

I've been posting the same sentiment on many of these KZfaq "prophet" channels. This is what I think has happened: Jer 23:16 "This is what the LORD of Armies says: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are deluding you. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the LORD’s mouth." I am planning to come to your study on Sunday at 5pm, Mike. Thanks for being sober minded in your teachings. I think the problem with the prosperity gospel is that it completely misconstrues the actual Gospel, completely changing it's meaning. I believe this can and does lead to false converts.

Hi Pastor Mike, I want to thank you for the great content you put out there! it’s incredibly helpful and I appreciate all the time you put into sound Biblical research, as well as your humorous and humble approach (and your cat is an extra bonus too 😻). I would love to share your Q&A videos with others but they would be most likely to open short videos over long ones with time stamps ... have you considered providing these as individual short videos with one Q&A per clip? My teenage boy loves watching both you and Mr B with Red Pen logic, and I know he would get hooked on shorter clips too :)

In response to question 17, I watched a video from Mike Winger were he used an example of a fire he and a friend started and it just about got out of control. His advice was to put out the fire of temptation when it’s small. I started doing it everyday when these temptations came to me and it’s been incredibly helpful. The sins I was a slave to I have walked away from. I won’t list them but they are very common for men today.

Congrats on the 200k - may God bring increase, not in the 'name it claim it' way lol but simply because you are clearly making a change and adding to His kingdom - even if only in my life that would be enough but clearly you are reaching hundreds of thousands. I still long for the day that my question gets through.

(Admin) Hi there! To send in a question, be sure to word your Q in a way that is very clear and easy to understand, and please keep in mind that we only begin compiling questions the moment Pastor Mike turns on his camera. The chat is open in advance, but we don't take any questions that are submitted before the moment he turns on his camera and officially goes "live," in order to be as fair as possible to all, and once he goes live, we do fill up very quickly, so it's important to be on time. Also, if you find that your question is repeatedly not taken, it may be because he's already answered it in one of our past sessions! If you let me know what the topic of your question was, I'd be happy to check for you to see if that may have been the case! God bless you!

I like the video. I’ve spent some time studying Native American history and ‘Christian’ folks and culture society government etc really have done so much bad over the centuries. So I wouldn’t question if it happened as a first thought lol. But good response .

I really appreciate you Mike, but its not over until it's over. I have stood in faith without any physical confirmation and saw my brain dead grandson raised up. It just might not be over yet. This could be a time to stand rather than judge the prophets wrong.

And one of the main things for discipleship, in my opinion-pray for AND PRACTICE wisdom! Satan has a sneaky way of binding people together in certain situations & often if a person feels in leadership, they can start hearing from their own selves. There’s just a whole lot of stuff that can happen because we are often vulnerable and we allow it. God specifies how things are to be handled properly

So many talk the love of Jesus they memorize scripture to soothe their soul but when it comes to living as Jesus tells us and all boast his salvation and will even yell,"I'm saved", thinking it's an event then I come along ask a simple question and people scatter like cockroaches when a light switched on.

I am blessed by your ministry Pastor Mike. I just want to know how God can give people words when the cannon of scripture is closed? I am honestly trying to get an answer to this question. I used to think God spoke to you until last year when God started to sanctify me. Thank you so much.

On sinning 58:42 - take it second by second. When the impulse/thought comes to you, ask yourself mentally to 'try', when it comes back again say 'try' again. Keep telling yourself 'try' and make a note of how long you manage to stop from giving into the sinful impulse/thought: 10secs, 30secs,1min. Gradually you should notice an increase in your ability to not give in. It looks insurmountable from where you are now, but that is just what the Enemy wants you to think. You could also take a short line from scripture or prayer to repeat as you mentally ask yourself to try. You could say the Shema the most important Jewish prayer: Sh'ma Yisra'el Adoni Eloheinu Adoni Ehad; Hear O Israel! Adonai is our God! Adonai is One! (dent 6:4, the full prayer is lines 4-9) You could say the Hail Mary (I'm not a confirmed Catholic, but it still works for me); Hail Mary, full of Grace, the Lord is with thee (Luke 1:28, again this is just the first line, the next line comes from Luke 1:41-42).
