@@kamalaharry9514 Mikey held the titles at 135 decided to vacate and fight Spence for no reason apart from 'seeing something'. Lomachenko and Linares were calling him out and that was on record. Problem was Top Rank and Mikey are not on good terms and so negotiations were a hurdle but Arum was willing to make it happen post Garcia vs Easter. It was just as dumb as Kell brook fighting GGG when he had a stacked WW division. They both can say I fought the boogey man at a higher weight class when in reality money talks. From what I remember reading, Loma called Mikey's bluff in 2017 where he proposed they'll meet at 135.

Ron Con Clearly I know how difficult that would be for him, that’s why I asked why is he wasting his time at 147? He already lost miserably to Spence so he obviously doesn’t stand a chance against Pacquiao or Crawford, so he’s never gonna win a belt at this weight. So again, he needs to stop wasting his time and go back down the weights and take on someone he could actually beat, like Loma.

He even got mad when they asked arum that question and arum said he would never promote one of mikeys fights.
