God, Carmy's monologue. "My brother is an addict- my brother was an addict" as he tries to finally acknowledge that Mikey is gone. "I'm a cook" he calls everyone chef out of respect but doesn't call himself chef because he doesn't respect himself. "I had a stutter growing up" and if you look back he does stutter a lot when he's nervous. A lot of other details to pick up but I'll stick to those and avoid spoilers

I agree about the dish that it’s likely Carmy was just trying to let Syd figure out the dish on her own, and he might have not even realized it was missing acid until he looked at her recipe and it clicked for him too. I also think Carmy was testing her too. He says straight up she pushes things too quickly. I realize Syd has done a lot of good for the restaurant but it might have also been good for her to hear “not yet” and practice e patience. Notice he did say “thanks for asking” when she asked him if it was a good time to try the dish, helping her work on her bad habits too.

I love Marcus and Sydney but it is such crap that Carmy owned up to his mistakes and apologized and they just treated him like shit and pretended they did nothing wrong.

The two were bonding. And shit talking your boss is bread and butter when it comes to bonding with coworker. Usually sharing self examinations of past mistakes or each other’s mistakes in when you’re at the “getting real” part of your friendship.

I'm sorry what? 😂 How did they "treat him like shit"? Carmy has dumped everything on Syd and left her on her own while he works through his grief and makes multiple mistakes that he blames others for (cigs on stove, to go pre-orders). On top of that last episode he was just straight disrespectful to both of them, yelling at Syd to get off Expo and literally assaulting Marcus by slapping the doughnut out of his hand...but they treated him like shit by not putting up with his BS anymore? Lmfao give ur head a shake 😂

"Left her on her own to work through his grief" He was literally having a panic attack in that episode. You didn't see him clutching his chest or anything? Panic attacks can be incredibly dangerous in places like the kitchen, for everyone involved him leaving was the best call. He explicitly said Syd was handling the to go system, so how is it his fault? Genuinely explain that. If it's someone else's job, how is it his fault? That's like saying if I went to your kitchen and knocked down your fridge it would be your fault for owning a fridge. And he didn't blame Richie for his mistakes on purpose, bro just forgot. And when you're in a kitchen like that, no one should be talk to you that way, but in situations like that you shut the fuck up and just listen to your boss and do exactly what he says. She wasn't doing that. She was trying to do it her own way, which he explicitly told her to fire everything right then and now she was trying to waste time and categorize them into fives. Going directly against what he told her to do. Marcus LITERALLY WASN'T DOING HIS JOB. Your only valid argument is the cigarettes. There is a very understandable and logical reason why he does the things he does, he's not a supervillain, he's a person going through grief and a career path with one of the highest rates of suicide, right after his brother committed suicide. He's just a person. I hope you're a teenager of some sort, because if you're not, that's really sad.

@@Itsupimup Acknowledging your fault is an informal apology, so he apologized. You don't always have to say the words "I'm sorry", it was clearly implied.

Cicero is Carmys “uncle”, been around the family all their lives, so he’s not gonna trip on Carmy too much. Mikey knew this, so knowing what he was gonna eventually do, left it all for Carmy for when that happened. “Let it rip dude” Such a great show. Can’t wait for y’all to see next season

Comment for engagement ❤ Also it's my belief, that he specifically borrowed the money from Cicero because A: Cicero would be slightly more understanding, and there was no way he could borrow from a bank, we can assume the restaurant was already failing by then so even if he did try and go to a bank loan there's no way they'd give him it.
