Truly a legend, I tear up every time I hear Stay with me, it always brings back the memories of the days I spent hours jamming to that song with some of my best friends I lost. Those were the days man, those were the days..

I hope same, that's why I decided to listen her other albums, she deserves to be aprecciated...I mean she was a gem, now we don't share this life anymore with her, but we can enjoy all her work and that's an oportunity to say kind of "thank you Miki!!"

Sad to think such a great singer was limited in her time to fame in only her home country. She has a great voice, and her band backs her perfectly. I wish we appreciated more artists before they passed.

@@Einscrest Yeah, if anything it was probably for the best, one of her regrets in her life was devoting too much of her time to music, that would have put too much pressure on her. I'm glad we can appreciate her work now, though.

If there's one thing I'd say I love most about little miss Matsubara, it's that she really gives it her all with her emotions. You really can hear the joy and heartbreak in songs. It elevates all of them from something that's lovely to listen to, to being absolutely extraordinary. We love you, Miki.

Я думаю , що вони популярні тому, що померли рано і не встигли зіпсуватись. Прикладом можуть бути аритисти ,яки були популярні одночасно, але зазвичай той хто помер став культовим, а інші стали посередніми

7 years ago I randomly stumbled over Matsubara's songs "It's so creamy" and "stay with me" while on my first longer stay abroad. They are two of the first city pop songs I have since been listening to non-stop. Now I'm on my third longer adventure in a foreign country and these songs still follow me wherever I go~ I feel like city pop has such a unique way of capturing the nostalgia for long gone summer days and nights. And while these songs accompany me throughout the years they become naturally intertwined with my own memories of past summers, serving as a time-machine that connects us throughout time and space.

Most city pop song have a ''night'' feel to them, but I think these suit the morning more. ''It's so Creamy'' as an example.

Many of the 80's pieces are Sunshine Pop which is very related to Beach/Surfing in a very similar style than West Coast Rock. I do think they are indeed more for the sunrise at the beach.

@monochrome It's quite normal in Japan to work till death and I guess it was more or less similar case with her which is why after being told by her doctor that she had uterine cervix cancer and she had only 3 months to live, she quit her music career immediately and decided to spent the rest of the time with her family. She lived for 3 more years after being diagnosed with cancer. I suppose she always wanted to spent more time with her family but I don't think so that 3 years are enough of it, I think she wanted more time which is why she started to regret her music career coz making music while being a popular singer is hard. I hope she's not regretting her life wherever she is. I hope within the last 3 years of her life she had spent her time happily with her family. I hope she got the time she wanted to spent with her family before passing on.

44:27 - そうして私が A track that was plagiarized by Taiwanese band Sunset Rollercoaster on their album Jinji Kikko (2016). The track that heavily draws on its theme is still a marvelous piece. I'm just a bit saddened now that I know that they stole it from Meiko Nakahara.

Em meio a tantas frustradas tentativas da indústria da música em conseguir manter seu produto vendendo, essq qualidade que conheci HOJE, do nada, e me sentindo feliz só de saber que ela existiu, vai ser muito bem lembrada pela sua qualidade. Menos é mais. Ela era simples. Mas conheço pouco. Continuemos esse legado de coisas boas que não podem ficar pra trás. E as caras novas, por favor, que tenham referências como essa. MÚSICA BOA DE VERDADE! (faz lembrar os tokusatsus, aberturas de animes como Zillion, entre outros... Nostalgia gostosa essa. Fim rs)
