Genuinely this. I would've never given it a shot if not for the demo simply because Elden Ring and Bloodborne were too difficult for me, so it would be silly of me to purchase a souls game blindly.

Never even touched the demo and I'm finishing my 3rs playthrough now. True souls fans could tell this was gaming gold, I bought it after watching Max's second stream video.

Most of the dungeons you go in have bosses that you've already faced in them ,you have to fight 5 tree sentinels through out the entire game ,you fight mogh twice and morgott 3 times at different times in the game ,if you took out the reused boss fights elden ring wouldn't be as long as it was .period

I can already see one of the main story quests requiring you to find the heart of the tin man. How they'll design the boss/character of the wicked witch, will our base be with the good witch of the north? So exciting!

Unfortunately no way lies of p will win at game awards, if gets nominated it will be in its own achivment. Games like bg3,spiderman 3, mario wounder, starfield[dosnt matter opinion on this], will be major contenders for goty. As much i love lies of p i just dont see it going to win.

While it’s true that not having the Rising Dodge ability from the outset feels weirdly restrictive, I actually appreciated it from the meta perspective of a puppet that is slowly learning how to be human over time, becoming more fluid in your movement and dynamic in your reactions as you progress through the story and fill out your P-Organ. Instead of just giving it to you, I think the only change they should make on that specific front is switching the positions of Rising Dodge and Link Dodge, that way you can still have access to a pretty fundamental ability by the time you hit the end of the demo zone.

Based on the concept art sketches, seems like Dorothy and the Oz stuff is gonna be saved for the sequel. With that in mind, I wonder if the DLC is gonna expand on Pinocchio lore or explore a different fairy tale. I like the Peter Pan idea.

The DLC could be a really interesting take on Peter Pan and Neverland, the only reason I say that is because of the pirate ship but Neverland being a Cryo facility in the Arctic could be a super...cool twist.

I would think if they did DLC, it would be a story focused on Romeo The Puppet King since he and Carlo/Pinnochio are best friends who grew up with one another as humans before they were turned into Puppets This also includes the fact he was already fighting the Alchemists Creations as well with his army of Puppets, I would hope it would also give us insight on how Romeo became a puppet when he was human before

SPOILERS AHEAD. DO NOT PASS GO IF YOU DON'T WANT END GAME INFO. . . . . . . As much as I would love that, I think the game already kinda covered how he became at least what he is now. From my understanding, he got the petrification disease and asked Geppetto to turn him into a puppet so he can protect Carlo when he comes back. Geppetto pulled a nifty shifty and did so, failing to disclose his plan to kill Manus involved usurping most of the puppets and turning him into the fall guy when Pinocchio awakens. What I think is def going to be in the DLC is the fact that Dorothy is wandering around Krat, probably looking for her Tin Man, freshly awaked to his new heart. There's that old stargazer on the Path of Exile up to the Malum District that's old and mossed over, what better place to put a yellow brick road?

I really like how the director a few times in a row said hey you guys bought the game like crazy so you know a few things you guys asked for? Here you go. That's just a great way to get in the good graces of the people who bought the game. Not everybody is gonna get everything they asked for but its better than a lot of devs who dont even listen at all

I haven't heard many say it but I think the dlc is Frankenstein. The book ends in the arctic with the doctor telling his story of The Creature.

I'm on my third playthrough. And it never stops being fun. You do get some crazy P-Organ abilities which kind of make the game easier, but I'm having too much fun. I eagerly await the DLC and I hope the sequel will be even better. Cheers Neowiz!

honestly, peter pan could be a good option for DLC, you have that Green bird in the unsued stargazer in pilgram's path, peter pan is green, and in a way, pinocchio is human, but also a boy who doesn't age, I could see an angle where after leaving krat P becomes Pan.

If they follow the story of Pinocchio, which is probable since... you know... The entire thing is based on that, then I can see are two strong possibilities with the ship, it takes you to the Island of Toys, where the children were turned into Donkeys, or mid boat journey the Terrible Dogfish eats the character and the insides of the Terrible Dogfish is the DLC area. Both sound like they would make for interesting DLC.

Remember guys to vote for this as GOTY mid november. Not only because it's legit incredible but it will most likely encourage more studios to create soulslikes. If this + Elden Ring + Sekiro all wins GOTY then they know what people really want to see and play.

Lies of P, Elden Ring and Sekiro are all extremely different games despite all being challenging though. Lies is closer to a traditional Soulsbourne, ER is wayyy more open & expansive with tons of freedom and Sekiro is barely an RPG and is more skill check the game.

My speculation for DLC is that it is a side story that will take place during the main story. The placement of the golden, ivy covered Stargazer right after the Bishop is very important for a good reason: By that point, the player has all the options open (P-Organ, Weapon Assembly, Upgrade,etc) but also, access to all three elemental blades (Coil Head, Salamander Blade and Acidic Spear), meaning it has to be doable by that point. BUT it could be like Ashes of Ariandel in DS3, where you can get to it relatively early (past Crystal Sage) but it does warn you to get to Lothric iirc, which is relatively far in the base game. Based on the tease images tho, the frozen factory doesn't really hint at much besides what it is (and also potentially new statuses like Ice/Frostbite) but the shipwreck could be interesting. Either the Puppet ends up in a shipwreck himself trying to reach a new place (the Eastern Country maybe?) Or a dream-like sequence. Maybe even a new different dimension (the butterflies point at that as they are called Dimensional Butterflies). Time travel is a big theme in LoP so that could also be another way to do it. Either way, I can't wait. I'll definitely replay the game when the patch drops to see how it feels to got thru NG with the new changes. What a fantastic gem in a year filled with wonderful releases. Feels unreal.

0:36 I have an Xbox and usually use GamePass to try out games and maybe buy them if i think they are worth it... However, after i tried the Demo, i knew for a FACT i had to BUY this game. And indeed, not only it met my expectations, but went even beyond that. I'm glad it sold that well. I'll be looking for the DLC and Sequel.

Seen some folks say that the Double Dodge should also be a default skill, but honestly, timing your dodges so that you only do the dash covers more ground in a faster way than a double dodge. It’s really only there as an emergency option.

They've already established Ergo is a potent time-manipulator. The entrance to the DLC is likely that greenish-gold Stargazer we are currently unable to interact with and it may let us visit a time and place from Krat's past. Perhaps we will meet or even face off against the previous holder of Gemini, The Legendary Stalker woman seen in the visions on the island shore? I'm hoping Lies of P's DLC keeps it squarely centered on this story and Krat, leaving the expanding universe stuff to the sequel. Don't get me wrong, I'm hype for Dorothy, but I want Lies of P to stay a cohesive package. I love their solution for the early game difficulty. Offer a couple more Quartz and swap out what arguably should have been a base ability for some other bonus players can buy into. I don't think it needed to be made easier, but if you do smart tweaks like this are what I like to see.

Loving this game, currently on NG++ nearing the end for platinum. Have watched Max’s playthroughs several times and can't wait to see more of his playthroughs on a lore run or just even more NG+ antics - definitely my go-to for souls/souls-like videos

I hope the devs give us the Black Rabbit Brotherhood costumes/ masks. I was really surprised they weren’t in the base game and that we’re getting Alidoro’s costume before the 4 different costumes from them. Don’t get me wrong, I want Alidoro’s stuff.. but I want _their_ stuff more. Lol

Right!!? Fighting them the first time, and not getting a boss ergo or outfit was disappointing. And then having to fight them again, I was like “ohh maybe now I’ll get it because the eldest has ergo in him”, and then I got a quartz. 🥲 Lol, then hoping to get Alidoros outfit when i kill him, and nothing. At least I’ll have that to look forward to now.

My guess where the DLC starts is where that unused Stargazer is at, next to those graves, in the beginning of the Malum District. It’s also coincidentally is called “Path of the Pilgrim”.

As someone who plays cozy farm sims and jrpgs, lies of p was so difficult for me and when I saw this ability in the p organ I was amazed it wasn't just a default skill that's considered "advanced" movement. So, I am very happy to see new players will be seeing this as part of their kit and that more quartz will be available too. This game was hard

I know this is months late but that ship. Has anyone noticed the glowing thing at the front. In the Peter pan cartoon, tinkebell is in a glass thing at the front of this ship and her fairy dust makes it fly. This is that. That's tinkebell at the front. The ships flying. This is Peter pan boys! Looks like Dorothy stuff is being saved for the sequel. But the DLC is Peter pan.

When I did my second playthru I looked around a bit at the top of the tower and saw a fairly prominent island and went. That’s probably the DLC area. Seeing a boat makes me feel like that’s even more likely than my joking guess.

Tldr tin foil hat Peter Pan theory *spoilers* spoilers Giangios real name shares the same initials as Peter Pan. My current theory is that he is Peter Pan or this universes version of him. Blessed and cursed to stay young forever while watching the love of his life age/die, he desperately needs to find Dorothy because he believes she can make wishes come true and grant her the same immortality/ bring her back to life. Prolly holes in my theory but thematically it fits like a glove.

I just hope they eventually add more tiers of P-organs. It stops after tier 7 and amulets stop after +2. However, enemies continue to scale at least till Ng+5 so yeah..

that shovel enemy never killed me because i understood what it was all about as soon as i witnessed the unblockable attack, it is all about movin to the sides and stop back pedaling, but this comes from experience, played all the mayor souls games and a lot of the minor soulslike so i am adjusted to lies of p.

I love Lies of P even more than I thought I could now, these Devs seem to be fully on it, he genuinely looks chuffed to bits. Cannot wait for the update, DLC and sequel. Can not fucking wait.

That first teaser image looks like a frozen prison. So I am going to guess it is related to The Snow Queen or The Little Mermaid. Ice seems like it could make for a good stand-in of being underwater.

i think dlc is going to be with stuff like other old time stories like the end credits refers to dorothy and a pirate ship could refer to peter pan so the dlc could be a crossover of old time stories but in a soulslike fashion which would be cool

Lol, right.!? I fought them tooth and nail my 1st play through and only got an ergo chunk. Then a 2nd, expecting a boss ergo from the undead brother or outfits, and just got a quartz.🥲

One thing that always surprises me is just how much content this game has. It took me like a week and ahalf to reach king if puppets, and that was only the halfway point. A full playthrough of this game might actually be longer than demon's souls and bloodborne (without dlc).

Think this might have something to do with Santa Claus? Christmas is coming up, the picture at sea looked like there might've been some things flying in the air (reindeer?), there were pictures of factories (Santa's factories?) , & he mentions icebergs & talks about giving gifts a lot I wouldn't be surprised if Pinocchio has to go save Santa Claus....

With Lies of P actually being the very first souls like game I've played that I seriously completed, loved, and genuinely enjoyed, I can say I'm seriously looking forward to the DLC and a sequel. I honestly wouldn't even be mad if the sequel didn't involve Pinocchio because the idea of a Wizard of Oz souls like sounds just as fresh and original of an idea that Lies of P had going for it. Yet again at the same time with how with Pinocchio the more humanity he gained he progressively became more and more human in both his appearence, grunted and winced in pain when he was damaged, and his death animations seemed more realistic compared to early in the game when he was a mute basically and just dropped dead; I'd be just as happy if his story continued on. I heard the true/best ending you can get blatantly shows its not a matter of if but when a sequel comes out, but I finished my first playthrough last night and got the ending where Pinocchio turned into Gepettos son Carlo and basically slaughtered everyone in Hotel Krat; so getting the Rise of P ending is just another reason for me to jump back in

What a great game, and what a great developer! I've played it thanks to the Game Pass but will definitely pick a physical version of it, and damn, I'm gonna buy this soundtrack too! This is my GOTY for 2023 so coming DLC, and potentially a sequel too, this simply made my day, even my week!
