She has INCREDIBLE CONTROL!!!!! At first you didn't ALLOW it to "build", but she planned on taking you there with the band. She has this Stevie Nicks/Janis Joplin/Joan Jett quality to her voice (she's best friends with Joan Jett and you can see a lot of Joan's mannerisms in her now). Miley recently has performed also with Billy Idol and Joan Jett (the past 10 years) and I truly hope she starts a ROCK band and fronts it cuz I'd be all in!!!!

well from my POV as a musician and not so well familiar with Metallica AND Miley, i find this quite good, i prefer this version when Miley sings the graspy high notes, more than when she hits the lower tones.... thx for the request and reaction, shared tis vid. pls stay safe grts. from a dutchie in Lower Saxony

I've seen a lot of reactions of this preformance, and in every single one the reactor is commenting on the beggining and how she doesn't go fully in right away. But at the end of the day, this is a slower song that builds, wouldn't it be weird if she just went in straight away with a higher rock voice, let her ease into in for god's sake 😆

Ok I won't lie, this isn't my cuppa, and neither is the version on the Blacklist. But... that's personal taste talking, it's not saying it's bad. It just doesn't grab me. It should be noted I've always kinda dissmissed postchildhood Miley as a spoiled brat, but she showed a lot of maturity in the interview and maybe a bit of wisdom, and frankly I'm happy for her! Great reaction

She sounds like Stevie Nicks. Miley should do Symph and Prog Metal. I think Metallica type Metal would be too constrictive for her voice. Symph and Prog should go play with her vocal range.

No. Not a rant. She's explaining what it meant to her. Maybe if you be quiet long enough so you can understand what they're doing and saying. She did this song on their Black Album...where lots if artists covered their songs

I think its quite cool how she went from this psycho childstar who could´ve easily ODed in a hotel room or something. To finding her sound and actually making some decent music. She´s always been a good singer (check her cover of Jolene). Good to see that so far her story has not ended in tragedy and she seems to be doing quite well now. Liked this performance but it does kinda sting to have James there and have someone else sing ;).
