Hi, I'm Dan Tomo, welcome to my channel!
I'm a Physical Training Instructor serving in the British Army, fitness enthusiast & vlogger.
This channel is dedicated to sharing with you the journey as i progress through my career within the British Army.
I will be sharing day to day life with, courses, exercises, training as well as my personal life. Think of this channel as a documentary of a career within the military.

@@speshuldino3508 What I respect about Tomo and those who put me through my training is they never ask you to do something they wouldnt do themselves, make the most of your time at Pirbright and give it your best because when you are a coffin dodger like me, you will look back on this time as the best days of your life, few ever get to test themselves so give it all you have and make great memories.., good luck mate.

1:24.., Dan wouldnt Pirbright be considered one dwelling or (bubble) and so avoid the covid restrictions?, I mean ya dont get the po po come and put but red (X's) on peoples dining chairs.

Apologies I’ve not been making videos, the last few months have been a hectic time for me although that should not be an excuse. I have some leave at the end of this week and I plan on making a few videos and then get back on track 👍🏼

Is it possible to do extra PT or go the gym in phase one training to get your fitness up in your spare time or any extra help with PT like 1 to 1?

Take this as good advice, dont ask stoopid questions like that, the only 1 to 1 help you get is when you mess up and some corporal is standing over you screaming.., on your off time you can go out and run or ask permission to use the gym when available, did I mention dont ask stoopid questions?

David, I believe your allowed to use the athletics track providing you pass your drill test and your troop staff give you permission 👊🏻

@@davidpae9063 No problem lad, one thing the training staff detest is those who ask questions they shouldnt ask, the British Army is second to none because they work through problems and think for themselves, its why UK forces refuse to fight along side US forces because US forces dont think, one example of that was when I heard a US Army sniper attached to special forces (Robert Turkla) say that they come under ambush once in Iraq and returned fire in a 360 degree arc.., UK troops dont do that because they are disciplined, dont get me wrong if you have genuine questions then ask but think about your question for a moment., good luck.

Are recruits allowed to do resistance training in the gym in phase 1?

Yes after week 6 I think, but at the moment there is still no training inside due to restrictions but hopefully things will be changing soon. There is plenty of resistance training on lessons though
